Skip this and take the ferry it’s 20 usd
I was really disappointed with this catamaran excursion to Isla Mujeres. It's advertised as a full-day tour, but we only had about 3 hours on the island, which felt extremely rushed. By the time you factor in boarding, transportation, and the scheduled activities, there wasn't nearly enough free time to actually enjoy Isla Mujeres. On top of the tour price, you're required to pay additional boat docking and conservation fees, bringing the total cost to around $72 USD. To make matters worse, you spend about an hour standing in a long line just waiting to check in before the tour even begins. The included lunch was also very disappointing. The food quality was poor, and there weren't many appealing options. Another downside was the souvenir stop. The prices were outrageously inflated—easily three times more expensive than buying the exact same items in Cancun. It felt more like a tourist trap than a worthwhile shopping experience. If you're thinking about visiting Isla Mujeres, I'd recommend skipping this excursion altogether. Take the ferry instead—you'll save money, have the freedom to explore at your own pace, spend as much time on the island as you want, and leave whenever you're ready. Overall, this tour wasn't worth the money, and I wish I had just taken the ferry instead.

Beautiful ...but slightly misleading and a money grab
The actual Catamaran ride was wonderful, and Isla Mujeres was beautiful. The boat crew was attentive, and there was a wonderful party atmosphere on the boat. Those parts were wonderful, BUT... beware, the mentioned tour of Isla Mujeres only comes with the upgrade which costs an additional $68 per person. We passed on that. Also, once on Isla Mujeres, it costs $40 to rent a beach umbrella...and add in the port charge and taxes for an additional $212 for a family of four. I'll also mention that once on the Catamaran, the captain announced that no children under 10 years old and no adults over 60 would be allowed to snorkel. That came as a surprise and disappointment to quite a few people. We had not seen that mentioned before.

Very fun experience! We...
Very fun experience! We saw four turtles just sitting on the netting. I will say we did not snorkel with the group on this trip as we had a snorkel excursion the day before but it was great sitting on the boat while everyone swam - perfect time to get some photos on the boat & alone time. Drinks were great and flowing the entire time. I will say there were lot of people on the boat so if your looking for something more private I would use this company for one of their more private catamarans. The music was fun, everyone of all ages had a good time. The staff was so friendly and made this experience more fun in my opinion.

How much does Full-Day Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres from Cancun with Lunch cost?

Is Full-Day Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres from Cancun with Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres from Cancun with Lunch?

Is Full-Day Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres from Cancun with Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full-Day Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres from Cancun with Lunch?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full-Day Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres from Cancun with Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cancun?
+
On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cancun?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cancun?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
