About this experience
The peninsula falls within the Table Mountain National Park which is world-renowned for its incredible biodiversity. The Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve spreads out over the rocky headland. It’s a protected nature reserve and home to an array of antelope, the rare Cape mountain zebra and other unique animal species. It’s also a haven for marine birds, with 250 recorded bird species found in the reserve. Cape Point is the very pointy end of the Cape Peninsula. It’s an instantly-recognised landmark and is often mistaken to be the southernmost tip of Africa. There are two national heritage monuments on Cape Point that were built to honour the world’s most famous explorers: Vasco da Gama and Bartolomeu Dias (who was the first European explorer to round Cape Point in 1488).

Peninsula Full day
We had a wonderful day on the Mo Afrika Full-Day Cape Peninsula Tour, and we were truly blessed to have Alfred as our guide. From the moment the tour started, his friendly personality, professionalism, and extensive knowledge made the experience even more memorable. Alfred shared fascinating insights about Cape Town and the attractions we visited, making every stop meaningful and enjoyable. The places included in the tour were absolutely awesome — from seeing the adorable penguins at Boulders Beach, to the breathtaking views at Seal Island, the iconic Cape of Good Hope, and the stunning lighthouse at Cape Point. What made the day even more special was Alfred himself. He was engaging, caring, and passionate about what he does. By the end of the tour, we felt like we had made a new friend, and as we talked after the trip, we realized we already missed him! Thank you, Alfred and Mo Afrika Tours, for an unforgettable experience. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cape Town.
Response from the operator: HI Quest3... Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you had such a memorable experience on our Full-Day Cape Peninsula Tour. Alfred will be thrilled to know that his friendliness, professionalism, and passion helped make your day so special. We take great pride in our guides, and it's wonderful to hear that his knowledge and engaging storytelling added meaning to each stop along the way. We're also glad you enjoyed the incredible highlights of the Cape Peninsula, from the charming penguins at Boulders Beach to the spectacular scenery of Seal Island, Cape Point, and the Cape of Good Hope. Your kind words about Alfred feeling more like a friend than a guide truly mean a lot. Thank you for choosing Mo Afrika Tours and for recommending us to future visitors. We hope to welcome you back for another unforgettable South African adventure soon! The MoAfrika Tours Team

Good day but not what was advertised which was disappointing
The tour was not what we expected. We didn’t do many of the stops that’s were planned on the itinerary which was a little bit disappointing. Our guide was okay although he seemed agitated and threatened to leave some of the clients if they were even a couple of minutes late to the meeting spots. Overall the tour was not what was advertised.

Breathtaking Peninsula Tour
Amazing breathtaking tour, I was by myself with a very qualified and nice guide, Sentle, who drove and took me to the most beautiful places.

Comfy and safe tour
Great tour to get a quick taste of the beaches, peninsular and back into the city. Really not enough hours in the day to see and experience what this beautiful place has to share with us.

Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $3090 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 93 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour?
+
Around 33 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town, Private Full Day Stellenbosch Wine Tour with Pick Up and Drop Off. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
