Be careful with the bus trip to Oia because you may get stranded!

I would say the experience itself was good and great value for money however the way we were treated when it was time to go back to where we were staying in Fira was unacceptable. We arrived at the pick up point as instructed at 20:55pm. We approached every driver and was told that our names were not on the list and none of them were going to Fira. We then got in touch with the office and they said another minibus would be with us in 25 minutes…21:50 arrived and still no sign of a bus. By the time 22:00 arrived there was still no sign of a bus and the office that we had booked with was uncontactable with no ETA or location of the bus. I tried calling several times to no answer. We were waiting well over an hour for the second bus to arrive and fortunately it arrived and we got back to our hotel safely in the end. We were very close to footing a £40 taxi bill. Completely unprofessional to leave work not knowing if your clients got home safely. You all could also improve the directions that you give because they are confusing and misleading. Fortunately we are a young couple with no children but I can imagine this situation being a nightmare for young families so BEWARE.

    Best tour around Santorini islands

Excellent excursion to the Caldera and volcano islands. We swam in the hot springs and had lunch at a small restaurant in one of the Islands. Couldn't finish the visit to Oia but Georgia the tour guide, was kind enough to organize our ride back to Fira. The boat experience was great and Georgia made everything super interesting. I would totally recommend this excursion. Best experience in Santorini ever.

    We loved it !

We left in July 2021. There were 4 of us, it was very easy to meet at a place for the bus to pick us up, arriving at the port you had to pick up your reservation and manage to find your guide depending on the language chosen at the time. of the reservation but everyone clearly indicated to us where we should go. You have to pay for your entry to the volcano but it's worth it, a short walk to get to the top but the view is incredible! Times are given to return to the boat and move on to the next location. Palea Kameni is super beautiful, the water is a magnificent blue. You have to jump off the boat and swim to get to the hot springs, incredible experience! Arriving at the village of thirassia, we sat at the restaurant, many boats arrive for meal time, the terraces are full but the service is done rather quickly, I still advise you to eat first before visiting . After that we toured Santorini, the guide was great, these explanations in 3 different languages were complete, very good day

    Santorini must-see 10 out of 10

Excellent tour to the Volcano, the volcano chimneys in the open sea with a dip included, dinner on board watching the Oia sunset from the boat. The crew is very cool, there is a bar on board that offers some delicious drinks and some snacks. The climb to the volcano is only for the brave, I gave up halfway, my daughter reached the top. The dive into the sea is unmissable. Dinner is a typical Greek meal very well served, you can repeat it, they give you wine and water. And the sunset is a unique experience. We went on the Aphrodite Boat

Full Day Boat Tour to Caldera Islands & Sunset in Oia by bus: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santorini.

How much does Full Day Boat Tour to Caldera Islands & Sunset in Oia by bus cost?

    +

Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Santorini usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full Day Boat Tour to Caldera Islands & Sunset in Oia by bus take?

    +

Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Santorini is not rushed.

Is Full Day Boat Tour to Caldera Islands & Sunset in Oia by bus worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.8/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Santorini, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Boat Tour to Caldera Islands & Sunset in Oia by bus?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full Day Boat Tour to Caldera Islands & Sunset in Oia by bus suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full Day Boat Tour to Caldera Islands & Sunset in Oia by bus?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santorini can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santorini and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full Day Boat Tour to Caldera Islands & Sunset in Oia by bus start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Santorini within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Santorini?

    +

On Outty we rank every Santorini experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half Day Premium Catamaran Cruise in Santorini including Oia, Private Santorini Tailor Made - Choice of the Guest!, Private Classic Santorini Panorama: Visit Top Destinations. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Santorini?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Santorini?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
