    About this experience

During this tour, you will discover the main islands of the lagoon, having plenty of time for your visit. The tour starts from Piers 1, 2 and 3 in front of Palazzo Cornoldi in Riva degli Schiavoni, 4142. Once onboard the boat, you will be heading to Murano, where the scheduled stop is 1 hour and 15 minutes. Here you will visit one of the island’s glassworks and attend a demonstration of a master glassmaker. The second stop of this day tour to the Venetian islands will be Burano with its colorful houses (stop of approx 2 hours). The last stop will be Torcello, where the Venetian civilization was born (1 hour). Today Torcello has just over 10 inhabitants, but its historical and artistic testimonies make it a very popular destination for visitors from all over the world. Last surprise: the return trip. The boat's itinerary will allow you to enjoy a splendid view of the Venetian lagoon. The tour ends where it started. Additional Option: Only Murano (1h) and Burano(3h) is available

Does not leave from St Mark’s square

Get what you pay for. Large boat, ten minute walk from St Mark’s, poor signage. Guide spoke five languages. Impressive, but challenging to pay attention to while waiting for your language to pop up. But it takes you to the same islands as the more expensive boats, so that’s fair.

Response from the operator: Hi V3439HN, Thanks for your honest review! We're glad we could get you to those beautiful islands at a great, fair price. We completely understand that listening to a guide speak five languages can be a bit of a test of patience! While it helps us keep the tour affordable and multicultural, we know it requires some extra focus. Hope you still enjoyed the islands! Best regards, The Venetoinside Team

    Good for the price

Good price for the service. There is an assistant at the pier to direct you to which line you need to be in. There are two tour guides that give basic information such as when to be back to the boat. This is a very large tour and is not personalized in any way. It’s a good option to get to all of the islands without needing to figure out the public transportation system. You are on your own at each of the islands to do what you please. In Marano, they do organize a glass blowing demonstration.

So much fun! The glass blowing was so much fun to watch. The islands are beautiful, esp the colorful houses on Burano.

Was ok but it lashed with rain too a point where you could not move against it and the crew just wanted everyone off the boat. It was quite dangerous for some with only t shirts on

Full-day Boat Tour of Venice Islands from St Mark’s Square: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Full-day Boat Tour of Venice Islands from St Mark’s Square cost?

    +

Prices start at $17 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full-day Boat Tour of Venice Islands from St Mark’s Square take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Full-day Boat Tour of Venice Islands from St Mark’s Square worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 119 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full-day Boat Tour of Venice Islands from St Mark’s Square?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full-day Boat Tour of Venice Islands from St Mark’s Square suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Full-day Boat Tour of Venice Islands from St Mark’s Square?

    +

Around 42 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full-day Boat Tour of Venice Islands from St Mark’s Square start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
