Excellent
Our hotel linked us up with this company when we said that we wanted to hire a boat for just us as a couple to go and see some islands and some snorkelling. They were really attentive. We only wanted to do a half day so they reduced the price accordingly. Our host met us at the hotel and made sure we got to the port okay. The boat trip was excellent and we were in total control of where we went and how long we went there for. The boat was clean and powerful and worked very well. We had an excellent day and I would recommend this company!

Boats4U is a MUST DO!
So this is not our first rodeo on boat rentals for the day in Cartagena, but it certainly was the best!!!!! They added a very important feature since our last time renting a few years ago (I don’t rent on every trip) — a tour guide is the title/concept and our’s was outstanding. Andres is THE BEST concierge for the day and I thank him for his services. Congratulation Francisco Cortazar on a magnificent upgrade to the already spectacular services! This is a FANTASTIC way to see the nearby islands, swim at a few pristine beaches, drink cocktails at the floating bars, and dine at an island restaurant—I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Aura Hotel Barú! There are several opportunities to jump off the boat and swim in the warm Caribbean waters—snorkeling or just enjoying the water! So the cost of our boat which comfortably seats ten, was COP $3,020,000 (approximately $800USD) but you can get a great boat for the day for about $450 check out the website at Boats4U.co A lot comes with that rental price: The boat tour to the islands starts at 9:00 AM at the Marina Todomar where a Boats4U host assist you with the boarding process, and the experience ends at 4:30 PM at the same Marina. Our cost included the upgrade for car service from/to the hotel and our concierge for the day greeted us with the car at the hotel. The boat rental includes: * Bravo 290 Boat (photos attached) * Captain * Copilot * Cooler with ice * Fuel * Traveler insurance * Replacement boat in case of an issue * 24 bottles of water * A bag of ice * “Host bilingüe” a/k/a a bilingual concierge * Ground transportation for 4 people roundtrip: The vehicle will be picking you up at your hotel at 8:30 AM, and at the end of the day the vehicle will be waiting for you to take you back to your hotel. * The crew lunch is included in the tour fee-tip is not.

Great day, service and crew :)
We rented a private boat for the day to go the Rosario islands. The boat was the same as in the photos, in good conditions. The booking and welcome process was very clear and easy. Everyone spoke good english which made it easier. A special thanks to Juliet, Eri and Erin that were super professional, and friendly and took great care of us.

Stole our drinks and cheaped us for a tip
Stole our drinks and never said anything or apologized, extremely disappointed but what can you say, they take advantage of any tourist they can find.

Gorgeous day!
Our crew was wonderful. They were caring and made sure we really enjoyed our trip. If you get to Cartagena, take the all day trip to the islands and swim in the beautiful waters. Have them stop off for a drink in the little bar on the water. Such a gorgeous day on the water.

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full Day Boat Rental in Cartagena: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.
How much does Full Day Boat Rental in Cartagena cost?
+
Prices start at $900 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Boat Rental in Cartagena take?
+
Plan for about 0.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.
Is Full Day Boat Rental in Cartagena worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 158 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Boat Rental in Cartagena?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Boat Rental in Cartagena suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Boat Rental in Cartagena?
+
Around 55 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 0.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Boat Rental in Cartagena start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cartagena?
+
On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cartagena Street Food Tour: 10 Local Tastings in the Walled City, Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena Cooking Class with Local Chef (Small Group Experience). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cartagena?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cartagena?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
