Sidecar Tour

Our guide Andre was fantastic and it was a great all day excursion. The vantage point from the motorcycle was great! Would definitely do again and strongly recommended.

Great family activity to see everything in the summer heat

We did the 8 hour tour on a hot August day with our 7 and 9 year old. What a fantastic way to see a lot with kids and also beat the heat. The guys were great, stopping when we needed a break, answered tons of questions, and gave us a great feel for Barcelona. I highly recommend this as a way to tour the city in an efficient way, or get oriented at the start. Great for families too - we felt incredibly safe the whole time.

Response from the operator: Dear Julie, thank you so much for your great review! You are honored you and your family spent such a great day exploring Barcelona on our sidecar motorcycles with our private guides. Until the next time around!

Great way to see Barcelona!

Fun way to explore Barcelona. So much easier to get the full overview as opposed to walking since it is such a large city. Our guide Stephan did a great job and was very attentive to detail. We stopped for lunch and had a great authentic meal with our guide who helped guide us through ordering which is so nice when you are unsure how to read the menu. We learned a lot. We enjoyed our day!

Response from the operator: Hello Roxanne, thank you for you review, it is very encouraging to read such positive words. We are happy you had a full day tour interesting and fun. We really work hard every day for it and it is a pleasure to have people like you riding in our sidecars! Best wishes from Stephan and from all the BrightSide Tours team in Barcelona!

Great Tour with Johannes!

My husband and I had a very fun day with Johannes. Hubby was on the back of the bike and I was in the side car. The down side is that when you stop at a light, the exhaust fumes of the car or bus in front of you are pretty strong. Also, when we visited the cemetery, which was fascinating, the road was very bumpy! I think we could have spent less time in the cemetery and maybe gone to the castle, which we didn't get to do. Johnnes was friendly and engaging and really know alot about the city. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to us. We are really happy that you enjoyed the sidecar tour. About Montjuic Fortress, access is blocked to traffic, it's not possible to reach by car or motorcycle, only public transportation. We always try to keep away from bumps but yes the cemetery area has more than usual. We believe the visit is well worth those few extra bumps, we hope you agree! Regarding fumes, we always try to stop at a sufficiently large distance from the vehicle in front so that it is not annoying, probably that day there was some unusual traffic situation that would make it more difficult, Johannes is an excellent driver, we are sorry for the situation. We hope you come back to visit Barcelona and we can discover even more off the beaten track areas in our sidecar tours. Warm regards from Johannes all the team!

Would do this tour over and over

I cannot say enough good things about this tour. We had three days in Barcelona before a cruise and this was the highlight of our vacation. There is no way we could have seen as much of the city without this tour and Stefan and Oscar were so knowledgeable and so much fun to ride with. We will tell everyone that is going to Barcelona to use this company.

Response from the operator: Hello, we are sincerely touched by your review, our guides always make the most to provide the best experience possible in Barcelona, we are so happy you enjoyed your tour with BrightSide! Warm regards from oscar, Stefano and all the team, see you soon!

Full-Day Barcelona Tour by Sidecar Motorcycle: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Full-Day Barcelona Tour by Sidecar Motorcycle cost?

+

Prices start at $345 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Full-Day Barcelona Tour by Sidecar Motorcycle take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Full-Day Barcelona Tour by Sidecar Motorcycle worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Full-Day Barcelona Tour by Sidecar Motorcycle?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Full-Day Barcelona Tour by Sidecar Motorcycle suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Full-Day Barcelona Tour by Sidecar Motorcycle?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Full-Day Barcelona Tour by Sidecar Motorcycle start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
