Customized tour - MUST DO!
If I could give them 6 stars, I would! Highly recommend this company. My husband and I booked a private tour. Lima VIP let us completely customize our itinerary based off of our special requests. Our guide was Ronald and our driver was Liam. We were picked up in a new and clean SUV from our hotel in Lima. This was our itinerary: Boating in Ballestas Islands Scooter rental in Paracas National Park Pisco winery tour in Ica Dune buggy and sand boarding in Huacachina 1. Boating in Ballestas Islands If we didn’t have Ronald’s support, this would’ve been so challenging. With Ronald’s support, it was a breeze. Most tour companies will drop you off from a bus at the boat dock without giving you much further instruction. Ronald helped us navigate the check in, the lines, was prepared with our tickets, and made sure we boarded the boat. He was waiting for us right when we got off to take us to get a bite to eat. The boat ride was scenic. I recommend packing a rain jacket. 2. Scooter rental in Paracas National Park Ronald walked with us to the scooter rental store and took care of arranging our reservation. Lima VIP had never had a customer request to book scooters to do a self guided tour of Paracas National Persevere, but they willingly accommodated our request. Ronald was in touch with us the entire time via what’s app, making sure we were enjoying ourselves. This was awesome! Would recommend this experience. I think experiencing the Preserve in a scooter would be much more enjoyable than a car. I would also recommend looking into ATVs or buggies. I think a self guided tour was more fun and provided more flexibility than a guided tour. 3. Pisco winery tour in Ica This was brief stop, but we enjoyed the ambience. The tasting was fun. Again, Ronald was prepared and made the experience very smooth. 4. Dune buggy and sand boarding in Huacachina The highlight of the day! Some roads were closed, and Ronald and Liam did not hesitate to implement an alternate plan. They took us to a bar while they worked very hard to coordinate new logistics for us as the roads were closed, and we were very grateful for them. Ronald was friends with people at all stops along the way, which gave us preferential treatment. Thank you to Ronald, Liam, and Lima VIP for an unforgettable experience!

Tour boat Paracas, Nazca lines, Dune Tubular in Huacachina, oasis and sandboard
The boat experience in Paracas, Nazca lines, Tubular by Dunes overlooking the Oasis and Sandboard was amazing super punctual Ronald and the driver. Edgar who handled the super funny tubular, we had a great time at all times. Nazca lines spectacular, if you suffer a little dizziness and that take a dramamine lol but it was super good. The best and super professionals!!

Great Day!
We had a great trip. Our driver Brayan made us feel comfortable during this full day excursion. He was very friendly and accommodating. During our trip to the Ballesta Island, we saw many birds and some sea lions. The water was a beautiful blue and the island was fascinating. We had a blast on the dune buggy portion and have amazing pictures that captured the fun. Finally the lunch was incredible. Brayan helped us navigate the menu and we enjoyed the pisco while visiting this area. Thanks again for a wonderful day.

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Full Day Ballestas Islands + Huacachina, the oasis of America + Ica Desert: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lima.
How much does Full Day Ballestas Islands + Huacachina, the oasis of America + Ica Desert cost?
+
Prices start at $150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lima usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Full Day Ballestas Islands + Huacachina, the oasis of America + Ica Desert take?
+
Plan for about 16 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lima is not rushed.
Is Full Day Ballestas Islands + Huacachina, the oasis of America + Ica Desert worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lima, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Full Day Ballestas Islands + Huacachina, the oasis of America + Ica Desert?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Full Day Ballestas Islands + Huacachina, the oasis of America + Ica Desert suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 16-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Full Day Ballestas Islands + Huacachina, the oasis of America + Ica Desert?
+
Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lima can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lima and add a light layer if any part of the 16-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Full Day Ballestas Islands + Huacachina, the oasis of America + Ica Desert start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lima within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lima?
+
On Outty we rank every Lima experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Paracas & Huacachina Premium Experience from Lima, Day Tour From Lima: Paracas, Huacachina, Pisco Vineyard & Sunset, Premium Paracas & Huacachina Day Trip from Lima with Sunset Toast. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lima?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lima?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
