Mt Fuji Lake Kawaguchi Tour

What a magical day. Riadh (our driver) was very punctual and we set out early on the 2 hour+ drive. Mt Fuji was very generous and we had views most of the day - different colours, angles and the odd cloud passing below the peak. Enjoying morning tea in the gardens with views to Mt Fuji a wonderful memory. Also included in the day was a visit to Hakone. We elected to do just the ropeway. We could also have done a cruise on the lake. A visit to the Geomuseum here is a must. To see the effects of the 2015 eruption event is fascinating. We also had views of Mt Fuji all the way down the ropeway (cable car). This day was a wonderful way to finish our holiday. Thanks Riadh.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the lovely review! We’re delighted you had such a magical day exploring Mt. Fuji, Lake Kawaguchi and Hakone with Riadh, with some fantastic views of Fuji throughout the day. What a wonderful way to finish your holiday! Tokyo Grand Tours Team

The most amazing tour and tour guide.

We did a Fuji tour and a tour to Nikko with Oriol (our guide with Tokyo Grand tours). I have never had a guide that has been so caring and so attentive to all of your needs. Also, he had a personality of somebody that you would want as your best friend. He definitely made sure that we had an amazing trip by giving tons of history, and making sure that you enjoyed the local experiences. I would highly recommend using this company and specifically asking for him if possible.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your kind words! We’re so glad to hear that Oriol made your tours to Fuji and Nikko such memorable experiences. His attentiveness, care, and engaging personality clearly made your journey special, and it’s wonderful that his historical insights and local recommendations added so much value to your trip. We strive to provide the best experiences for our guests, and your recommendation means a lot to us. We hope to welcome you again in the future! Best regards.

Excellent family day trip from Tokyo

Khalid quickly confirmed our booking and arrived on time to pick up at hotel. The itinerary is perfect for families and Khalid was helpful, friendly and patient with the kids (10 and 13 years). Highly recommend this tour to see all the highlights without the stress.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I’m so glad to hear that Khalid made your family trip such an enjoyable and stress-free day. It sounds like he went out of his way to be patient and accommodating, especially with your kids, to ensure everyone had a great time. We always do our best to create memorable and personalized experiences for our guests, and it’s wonderful to know the itinerary worked so well for your family. We’d love to welcome you again for another fantastic adventure! Best regards.

Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tokyo.

How much does Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $770 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tokyo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi Tour take?

+

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tokyo is not rushed.

Is Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tokyo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi Tour?

+

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tokyo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tokyo and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tokyo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tokyo?

+

Tokyo is less a city than a stack of neighborhoods with completely different opening hours. A guided food crawl through Shinjuku's Omoide Yokocho gets you past the no-tourist curtains, while the day trips west to Hakone and Fuji need an early start to be worth the fare. Our ranking weighs guide quality heavily here, because in Tokyo the guide is the product. On Outty we rank every Tokyo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tokyo Shinjuku Chopsticks Making Class, Tokyo : Asakusa Chopsticks Making Class, Shinjuku Night Food and Bar Crawl. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tokyo?

+

Late March to May for blossom, October to November for clear Fuji views. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tokyo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
