Good tour, Great Historic & scenic places

The overall tour experience was very good. Both Ljubljana and Lake Bled are a mist see and visit in Slovenia. Although our pick up was a bit late due to road closures for the formula one in Zagrab, our driver/ guide was very apologetic and made sure to give us extra time at both these places to make up for lost time. The local guide in Ljubljana hurried with our tour as we were added to a group of over twenty other people. In fact when she gave us a toilet break at the beginning, she rushed and left without our group and hence lost one couple who could not find the group...... very irresponsible. We were able to walk around the old town and see most of what is there to see and enjoy in this town. At Lake Bled, we did the boat ride to the castle and back and the view from the too of the Castle is very good. We also had time to walk around the lake and get some Very Nice Pictures. It was a long day as we started around 7.15 and reached back to our meeting point around 7.30 PM. Overall a great day and would recommend this trip if you are in Zagreb and only have a few days to see the area.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your detailed review! We’re glad that despite the morning traffic delays from city road closures, your driver made sure you got extra time to fully enjoy both Ljubljana and Lake Bled. We also appreciate your understanding regarding the local guide in Ljubljana, managing larger groups on busy days can certainly be a race against the clock, though we always aim for a smooth pace. We're delighted you were still able to capture fantastic photos, enjoy the castle views, and take in the best of Slovenia. Thank you for your recommendation!

    Amazing experience, fantastic tour guide

Booked a small van experience with Antonio as our guide. It was like a private tour with just three of us booked. Antonio was a fantastic guide, he had so much to say about the places we visited and the history of his country. Lake Bled and Ljubljana were both amazing places to visit and easy to get to from Zagreb. We had no problem with tourists as booked late September but we were told that just 3 weeks earlier, there would have been a lot more queues. We were very lucky with the weather, it was 22 degrees with clear skies. Fully recommend this trip

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're thrilled you had such a great time with Antonio and enjoyed the small-group experience. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

    Great Taste of Slovenia

Good pacing with enough time at Ljubljana and Bled Lake / Castle. 20 euros for the boat and 20 for the castle aren't really optional. You could skip it, but they are amazing. Antonio was great.

Response from the operator: Thanks for the great review! We’re thrilled Antonio took good care of you and that the timing at Ljubljana and Lake Bled felt just right. Those castle views and the boat ride to the island are definitely highlights you don't want to miss! Safe travels!

We did not want to spend...

We did not want to spend too much time in Slovania, and have decided to take a day tour from Zagreb to Ljubljana, the capital of Slonania, and lake Bled. It turned out that Ljubljana was such a charming and cozy city that we regretted not having spending more time in the city. Compared to Zagreb, Ljubljana is a better place to stay and enjoy the "city of love' , nicknamed by the locals. Lake Bled is also very beautiful, that we are thinking about coming back in the future. Definitely. We would recommend anyone to take a day tour to Slovania from Zagreb

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are very glad that you enjoyed your tour experience through Slovenia, especially Ljubljana. It's great to hear that the day trip from Zagreb gave you a perfect preview for a future, longer visit. We can't wait to welcome you back next time!

    Great trip from Zagreb

Dino our guide was brilliant.Very informative, knowledgeable and just an all round great guide. There was 8 people in the group and we all got to know each other and we looked out for each other. I would have no hesitation in recommending a small group. Just returned today from a trip with roughly 50 people definitely not the same. Keep up the great work Dino

Response from the operator: Thanks a million for sharing your experience! We completely agree, small groups bring a warm, personal feel that big tour buses just can't match. We're so glad your group connected so well and that Dino took such great care of everyone. We'll make sure Dino sees your shout-out! The entire Toural Travel team wishes you the best in your future travels.

From Zagreb: Ljubljana and Lake Bled Guided Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zagreb.

How much does From Zagreb: Ljubljana and Lake Bled Guided Day Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zagreb usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does From Zagreb: Ljubljana and Lake Bled Guided Day Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 10.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zagreb is not rushed.

Is From Zagreb: Ljubljana and Lake Bled Guided Day Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 89 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 761 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Zagreb, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

How far in advance should I book From Zagreb: Ljubljana and Lake Bled Guided Day Tour?

    +

Around 266 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zagreb can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zagreb and add a light layer if any part of the 10.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Zagreb?

    +

On Outty we rank every Zagreb experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Zagreb Highlights: Old Town, WWII tunnels, Funicular & Tastings, Communism & Croatian Homeland War Tour, Zagreb: Plitvice Lakes & Rastoke Guided Day Trip with Ticket. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Zagreb?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Zagreb?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
