    1. Yerevan

Picking up from the hotel and heading to the Arch of Charents

      30 minutes here

    2. The Arch of Charents, a poetic gateway to Armenia’s soul! This monumental arch was built in 1957 and dedicated to one of Armenia’s greatest poets, Yeghishe Charents. While the arch itself is minimalist in design, the real magic is in the view: on clear days, you get a breathtaking panoramic sweep of Mount Ararat.

      30 minutes here

    3. The Monastery of Geghard

Geghard is a medieval monastery in the Kotayk province of Armenia, being partially carved out of the adjacent mountain, surrounded by cliffs. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with enhanced protection status.

      60 minutes here

    4. It is said that this natural monument is the result of the collapse of the volcanic rocks. The monument consists of huge paradoxically symmetric hexagon and pentagon basalt columns (nearly 50 meters high). These stones hanging against the gravity resemble an organ, which explains why it is also referred to as “Basalt Organ Pipes”.

    5. Garni Temple

The Temple of Garni is the only standing Greco-Roman colonnaded building in Armenia and the former Soviet Union. Built in the Ionic order, it is located in the village of Garni, in central Armenia, around 30 km east of Yerevan. It is the best-known structure and symbol of pre-Christian Armenia.

    Sights around Yerevan

We took a tour to see the sights around Yerevan, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. We truly loved the service — everything was well organized and comfortable. A special thank you to our driver Artak for his professionalism and smooth driving, which made the trip even more enjoyable. We were especially impressed by the fascinating and engaging stories about Armenia shared by Armene, they made the journey come alive and added so much depth to what we saw. Honestly, we didn’t want the day to end. Highly recommended!

How many days do you need in Yerevan?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
