    About this experience

Enjoy sailing on a comfortable boat, admire the views of the lagoon from the terrace and be surprised by the magic of these unique places, told with passion by our Guide on board. Depending on the option chosen, the departure can be from San Marco - Approdo Cornoldi or from the Venice train station, near the KFC. The first stop will be Murano, where you will visit one of the famous local glassworks and witness a live demonstration of glass blowing, closely observing the techniques and skills of master glassmakers. Altogether you will have about an hour of free time to explore the island and browse the art glass shops. You will then continue to Burano, where you can admire the lively colorful houses and walk along the picturesque streets of the village. Here too you will have about an hour of free time to discover the charm of the island, take a walk through the lace shops or enjoy a local aperitif.

    Great journey

Nice going out to Murano to see glass blowing and buying some Murano glass as well. Burano was a lovely quaint town, great to see and the boat trip was great too.

    Beautiful Islands, Disorganized Tour

We're a family of four who booked through Get Your Guide. When we got to the appointed dock near San Marco, there was pure confusion. The "tour guide" ordered us to wait behind all the other people coming by boat even though we arrived first. So by the time we got on the ferry, there were barely any seats together. This tour was merely a people mover. There was no "guiding" by the guide. Also, the published times at the locations were not adhered to. We only spent 50min in Murano (vs 1hr published) and 1hr in Burano (vs 90min published). Islands were beautiful, especially Burano, so I'm glad we went. But if you're expecting more organized, this isn't it.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry if boarding and seating did not fully meet your expectations. Our staff manages boarding to ensure safety and smooth operations for all passengers. The tour is designed as a shared transfer with commentary during navigation, and stop times may vary slightly due to operational needs. We’re glad you enjoyed the islands, especially Burano, and hope to welcome your family again for an improved experience.

    Don’t book this trip

They give you the wrong pick up details and then you will sit waiting for 45 mins for them to pick you up, you will try to contact them and they will just copy and paste a description of where they started the trip from. Leaving you at the place you were told. I asked for a refund and they said no and apparently it was my fault i was given the wrong details and waited where i was told, so can’t have a refund. I would give no stars if i could.

    Rare

We left with a motorboat, along the journey to the island of Murano, we had to take on board other passengers from another motorboat which had a breakdown, then once we arrived in Burano they left us free for about an hour and a half, then they took us on board on a vehicle that looked like a tractor, a lot of noise and it went very slowly, so much so that we had to arrive in Venice in half an hour, it took us an hour.

from Venice: Murano and Burano morning tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does from Venice: Murano and Burano morning tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does from Venice: Murano and Burano morning tour take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is from Venice: Murano and Burano morning tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule from Venice: Murano and Burano morning tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is from Venice: Murano and Burano morning tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book from Venice: Murano and Burano morning tour?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does from Venice: Murano and Burano morning tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
