We started our journey early in Santiago, heading south, exploring the VI Region of Chile in a trip of approximately 3 hours. Here, we discover a little explored sector of the majestic Andes Mountains. Amidst nature, we explored the attractions of this region of the Cordillera, including Pre-Hispanic Petroglyphs and a curious wooden pipeline with more than 100 years of history, still in operation! Continuing our adventure, we enter the Cordillera until we reach the place where we will begin our ride. We traveled through a beautiful Andean glacier valley, accompanied by experienced local drovers, on a ride lasting approximately 2 hours in total. During our journey we will visit a meltwater waterfall. On the way back, our team awaits you with a delicious lunch or picnic, allowing you to recharge your batteries in the middle of nature. This tour offers a unique experience in the Andes Mountains.

Unmissable!
I did the horseback riding tour in the Andes on 09/03/26. The best travel experience I've ever had! Without a doubt the value is worth it. They looked for me and my fiancé at our hotel in Las Condes on time. The tour doesn't leave that early like the snow tours, so you can have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Our guide was Felipe and during the road he told us about the importance of local tourism for the drovers (people who live in the Cordillera). The horseback ride was incredible! The landscape is breathtaking and the horses are very well trained. They choose the horses for people based on their experience with horses. I saw people with no experience do the tour easily. When I went, the snow was already a little more melted, but it was still possible to see some snow. A few days later it snowed in the park, so going in snowy weather is not guaranteed to have it; one day it might snow and the next day it might not. In the park there is a stream of meltwater from the mountains that is very worth seeing. I think it's a must-see for those who can go.

Incredible!
Difficult to describe, I can say it was the best experience of my life. And regarding the guides, all incredible. I would especially like to praise Joaquim, he was the first guide for the tours I took and I only have praise. Education and kindness a thousand points, and as if he were your friend for ages!

Incredible ride in the Andes
I did the horseback riding to the Andes with Indo to Chile and it was incredible! Beautiful place, super attentive and caring guides, very well treated horses. Breakfast in the snow in a surreal setting and the delicious barbecue on the way back. Unmissable experience!

Best experience in Chile
Very attentive in the service process via WhatsApp, punctual with transfers, very good tours and without exaggerating the number of people involved in the tour, equipment and snowsuits are a fair value!!

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Santiago.
How much does From Santiago to the Andes: 4x4, horseback riding, waterfall visit and barbecue cost?

How long does From Santiago to the Andes: 4x4, horseback riding, waterfall visit and barbecue take?

Is From Santiago to the Andes: 4x4, horseback riding, waterfall visit and barbecue worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 66 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Santiago, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Santiago to the Andes: 4x4, horseback riding, waterfall visit and barbecue?
+

Is From Santiago to the Andes: 4x4, horseback riding, waterfall visit and barbecue suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Santiago to the Andes: 4x4, horseback riding, waterfall visit and barbecue?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Santiago can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Santiago and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Santiago?
+
On Outty we rank every Santiago experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Maipo Valley Wine Region: 4 Wineries, Tastings & Foodie Tour, Valparaiso Port and Viña del Mar with Casablanca Wine Tasting, Tour to Valparaíso, Viña del Mar, Pablo Neruda Museum and Vineyard. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Santiago?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Santiago?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
