    Good Value, Great Learning

My fiancé and myself along with a friend decided last minute to join this tour on our final day in Prague. Though the tour seems on the pricier side considering what a bus fare and admission would cost, Petr’s (unsure of spelling, sorry!) knowledge added significant educational value to the journey there and back as well as on-site in Terezin. He was able to answer lots of questions and provide a fulsome history of the fortress and ghetto buildings to the group, which was about 15-20 people I think. It is a somber history tour, but he used humour appropriately too! The small coach bus used for transport appears very new and is extremely clean and comfortable, plus you can leave your belongings on the bus safely during your tours with the driver, Martin. The entire tour lasts 6 hours from pick up to drop off, so pack some snacks and there is a small cafe near the last stop. Wear good walking shoes and bring a raincoat if it might be rainy as parts of the tour are outdoors.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful and detailed feedback! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the tour and that Petr’s knowledge made your visit to Terezín so meaningful. We truly appreciate your kind words and your recommendation. Silvia

    The "model" camp of Terezin

If you are in Prague, this is an experience you must not miss. We were at relatively small group of around 20 - 30 people who were given a history of the camp during the almost one hour bus ride to Terezin. The guide Peter was exceptional in his knowledge of the era and the camp. We walked to the prison compound where the POWs were kept and tortured and a second guide explained the compound and the treatment these prisoners had to face. We then walked to the ghetto where the Jews from Prague and neighboring areas were starved prior to being sent to death camps. There were the original crematorium where the Nazis tried to hide the large number of deaths by pouring the ashes into the nearby river. This was the "model" camp designed by the Nazis for the Red Cross. But everyone who took part in the masquerade and the filming of the camp were murdered in Auschwitch. Like I said - a MUST to see.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We’re honored that you found the visit so meaningful, and we’re especially pleased to hear that Peter’s knowledge and guidance helped bring this important history to life. Silvia

An important and necessary side trip from Prague

This was an excellent tour with a wonderful guide to Terezin. The guide, Peter was very knowledgeable and explained the history of the camp and the era extremely well. He was efficient in numerous languages and translated for those who weren't proficient in English. He personalized the tour with details which made it even more meaningful. Visiting a concentration camp is not a pleasant but very necessary experience for even those with historical background knowledge and Peter made this a very meaningful experience.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We’re delighted to hear that the visit was meaningful and that Peter’s knowledge and dedication helped make the experience so memorable. Silvia

From Prague: Terezin Concentration Camp & Memorial Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.

How much does From Prague: Terezin Concentration Camp & Memorial Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $43 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does From Prague: Terezin Concentration Camp & Memorial Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.

Is From Prague: Terezin Concentration Camp & Memorial Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 83 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule From Prague: Terezin Concentration Camp & Memorial Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is From Prague: Terezin Concentration Camp & Memorial Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book From Prague: Terezin Concentration Camp & Memorial Tour?

    +

Around 29 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does From Prague: Terezin Concentration Camp & Memorial Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Prague?

    +

On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, Prague Essential Tour Old Town and Jewish Quarter. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Prague?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Prague?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
