    Antonio and the captain...

Antonio and the captain were great guides. Choppy waves made for a bumpy ride across the sea, but Capri was worth the ride. If you’re looking to just visit Capri, this may not be worth your while. If you’re looking for a tour of the grottos and popular spots around the island, to swim in the sea, and get half a day on the island, this is for you. THE BOAT EXCURSION: On the way, we stopped to swim at 2 different locations. Getting in the water is a must (the salt water is so buoyant)! They have snorkeling masks, so seeing all the sea bass swimming around us was extremely cool. It’s 100% worth getting a bit wet. It was high tide when we went, so we didn’t visit the Blue Grotto (didn’t ruin the trip for us). We did see the Green Grotto (kinda cool). That gave us 4 hours on the island, which was perfect. CAPRI/ANACAPRI: We took the bus to Anacapri to the chairlift that takes you to the top of Monte Solaro. Take the bus to the chairlift because it’s not walkable. Get 3 “one-way” tickets; you’ll want to take the bus to the top, back to the Capri city center, and back to whichever marina they pick you up. Give yourself ample time (45 or so mins) to get on the bus back, or you’ll spend €40 on a taxi. ON THE ISLAND: Do the chairlift. Incredible views. It’s €14 for a round trip (up and down, though they don’t check your tickets on the way down, so you might get away with a one-way ticket for €11). Then get on a bus ASAP to the Capri city center. Not much to do in Anacapri. We found La Focacceria for a wonderful panini. Then Tizzano’s Kiosk for some Lemon and Limoncello gelato (best gelato of our trip). Great experience! Grazie!

    The most gorgeous and...

The most gorgeous and perfect excursion we did!!! You cannot cannot cannot understand the beauty of the grottos without swimming in them. Our guide was Rafael (i believe) and captain jack sparrow and they were perfect. We would have preferred to ride around all day on the boat over going to Capri however due to the congestion. Our van ride from Positano to Sorrento to take off was ROUGH and several of us felt carsick by middle of the ride.

    Perfect!

This tour was great. Sharon and Giovanni “kiko” were excellent! Professional and entertaining. Sharon even had a broken finger and still did the excursion! Rock stars!

    Capri Tour

The entire experience was nothing less than amazing! Antonio our guide was extremely knowledgeable on the history of Capri. Driver picks you up and drops you off. A few things to note. Received an IM from the tour agency through Viator stating pick up time would be at 7am not 8am. Need to check messages diligently through Viator for changes. Remember, the Blue Grotto experience is NOT guaranteed. If tides are high you can’t get in. Free time was cut short an hour due to port docking issues. Didn’t ruin the day at all BUT something to be aware of. I would say all of the tours prob have the same issues. All in all I gave this tour a 5 out of 5 stars and would absolutely use them again!!

From Positano: Shared Capri and Blue Grotto Boat Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Sorrento.

How much does From Positano: Shared Capri and Blue Grotto Boat Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Sorrento usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does From Positano: Shared Capri and Blue Grotto Boat Tour take?

Is From Positano: Shared Capri and Blue Grotto Boat Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Sorrento, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is From Positano: Shared Capri and Blue Grotto Boat Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

How far in advance should I book From Positano: Shared Capri and Blue Grotto Boat Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Sorrento can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Sorrento and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does From Positano: Shared Capri and Blue Grotto Boat Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Sorrento within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Sorrento?

    +

On Outty we rank every Sorrento experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pizza School with Wine and Limoncello Tasting in a Local Farm, Private Amalfi Coast Day Tour from Sorrento or Naples, Sorrento Farm and Food Experience including Olive Oil, Limoncello, Wine tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Sorrento?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Sorrento?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
