    Amazing trip! Our guide...

Amazing trip! Our guide Francesca was wonderful and very helpful and kept the tour moving along. We were fortunate enough to be able to see the Blue Grotto the day of our trip, as the water conditions and weather conditions change constantlyand it's not always a guarantee that you will be able to. Be prepared to debark the tour boat and get into a row boat with an amazing rower who will guide you straight into the grotto. Something spectacular and a must see! While in the cavern-like Grotto ,you are in awe of the beautiful blue hues of the water.....incredible, amazing and magical! And Capri is just as amazing and beautiful. I wish we didn't waste our time having lunch in a restaurant. Should have grabbed a quick bite at a pizzeria instead. We didn't have too much time to walk around and shop before we had to head back to catch the boat back to Naples. Highly recommend taking this tour! The tour company and their staff were professional, easy to communicate with, responsive to my questions and booking was a snap! Thank you for a great day!

Excellent Tour Managed by Gabriele & Iliana

Good management of the tour. Showed different tourist attractions, with sufficient time at each. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and helped us with our different requests without hesitation!

    Seriously disappointed!!

Our tour guide, Sacha (very knowledgeable and charismatic) warned us at the very beginning that we "might not be able to go to the Blue Grotto." He mentioned this several times during our excursion. It was a beautiful day - sunny, mid 90's, LOW tide - PERFECT for viewing the grotto. I am quite positive that Sacha himself did not want to spend HIS time travelling to or waiting in the queue to actually get into the grotto (which he has seen MANY times), so he decided on his own that we were not going there! In addition, our "free time" in Capri and Anacapri was ridiculously short! The "full day - 8 hours" tour was reduced to a bit over 7 hours from departure from Naples to return. Cost of USD 377.43 for my wife and I was poorly spent!

Response from the operator: Dear Ray, thank you for sharing your feedback regarding the tour guided by Sacha. It's unfortunate to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. It's important for tour guides to manage expectations regarding attractions like the Blue Grotto, but it sounds like you had ideal conditions for visiting, and it's disappointing that you were not able to go. On the other hand, we believe that Sacha didn't act based on personal preferences but rather in response to the timing and schedule constraints of the tour. He likely became aware of significant congestion at the embarkation point, and he chose to spare the group from potentially long waiting times. Additionally, the shortened duration of the tour and limited free time in Capri and Anacapri can indeed affect the overall experience, especially considering the cost. Your feedback highlights the importance of transparent communication and ensuring that the advertised itinerary aligns with the actual tour experience. We hope that your future travel experiences are more satisfying and provide better value for your investment. We suggest a lower season to fully enjoy the beauties of Italy, whereas the peak season is a really challenging moment for tourists and agencies alike. Best regards, Gray Line Rome

Nice, but more travel than actual Capri exploring

The guide was lovely, and it was great to see the island of Capri, however if you want to get the full experience maybe staying for a night on the island would be better. The tour was mostly travel, 45min by ferry to the island, then the blue grotto was closed due to high tides. We had a nice boat ride of the island instead. Then caught a bus up the hill to lunch. After lunch we had 45min to explore which wasn't even enough time to get up the chair lift. So we were a little disappointed. Then had to wait around for the bus to get back down, before catching the 45min ferry back to Naples. If I travelled all the way from Rome (which some people did) I would have been extremely disappointed. The Tour itself was well organised, I just don't feel it was worth the money as we only got to spend 45min to actually explore Capri.

Response from the operator: Dear customer, thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent visit to Capri. We appreciate your kind words about our guide and are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the beauty of the island. We understand your concerns regarding the limited time spent exploring Capri, and we apologize for any disappointment you may have experienced due to the itinerary. Capri is indeed a stunning destination with much to offer, and we strive to provide our guests with the best possible experience within the time constraints of a day tour. High tides and other factors beyond our control can sometimes affect the availability of certain attractions, such as the Blue Grotto. We always aim to offer alternatives, like the boat ride around the island, to ensure that our guests still have a memorable experience. We appreciate your feedback and hope that, despite the time limitations, you were able to enjoy the highlights of Capri or get a smattering of what it has to offer so next time you can spend more time and take advantage of our multi-day tours. Warm regards, Gray Line Rome

    Capri tour

The tour we booked was not worth the money we spent on it, unfortunately. The price of the tour compared to what you receive is not comparable, and the cost outweighs what you see. It was a nice day still enjoyed going there just thought the tour was too expensive.

Response from the operator: Dear John, thank you for taking part and for sharing your experience! We are sorry the tour to Capri didn't live up to your expectations. We sent you a private message yesterday because we probably know what happened that day and we would like to make it up to you. To that end, we need to locate your booking in our systems. Awaiting your kind reply. Best, Gray Line Rome

From Naples: Full-Day Capri Island and Blue Grotto Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does From Naples: Full-Day Capri Island and Blue Grotto Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $212 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does From Naples: Full-Day Capri Island and Blue Grotto Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is From Naples: Full-Day Capri Island and Blue Grotto Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 45 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 19 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule From Naples: Full-Day Capri Island and Blue Grotto Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is From Naples: Full-Day Capri Island and Blue Grotto Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book From Naples: Full-Day Capri Island and Blue Grotto Tour?

    +

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does From Naples: Full-Day Capri Island and Blue Grotto Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
