About this experience
Discover the most spectacular destinations on the Amalfi Coast: Amalfi and Positano. Admire the elegance and natural beauty of these two gems of the coastline. Meet with your tour leader at Molo Beverello seaport in Naples. Board the ferry boat to Amalfi and enjoy the fantastic views. Explore the town of Amalfi nestled in a ravine surrounded by stunning cliffs, the medieval public also knew it as the Duchy of Amalfi. After the explanation from your tour leader, here you will taste a typical lemon granita and have about two and a half hours of free time to explore the town, its public squares, shops, and the Cathedral on your own. After visiting Amalfi, take the ferry back to Positano to discover all its charm and elegance: its coloured buildings, shops, and sandy beaches. Samuele the Guide 10/10
We had the best tour with Samuele!! He was very find and knowledgeable about every question I had. We spent an hour on Positano, which was nice but not enough time in my opinion, it could easily be a 2 hour stop. We then went down to the Almafi coast area and that was delightful! Quite crowded so I spent some time in the city center and some time roaming any exploring the not so tourist drenched areas as well. During that time I did a 45 minute boat tour that was absolutely splendid. Samuele came along on that excursion as well and made a point to share the best vantage point on the boat. I highly recommend the boat tour option. It’s not too long and the water wasn’t too choppy. I enjoyed every single minute of my time, from the original meet up until we got back to port and all went our separate ways. We even bumped into Samuele another day in the city and he was just as kind as the day before, when he was our guid. A kind soul indeed. The tour listing was a little misleading in the language saying it was a speed boat tour the coast areas and it was in fact just a ferry. Perhaps a fast one, but coming from the states I was expecting a cozier smaller speedier boat. Smooth and very comfortable ride. I traveled with two friends and we all took naps on the boat so no complaints there! Just wanted to point out slightly misleading language. I will absolutely recommend this tour to friends visiting the area. I had a blast.

Great tour
Our tour with Samuele was fun from beginning to end. our guide, Samuele was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The tour was extremely organized. It was quite helpful to take the ferries to Positano and Amalfi with the guide with the towns being so crowded the Samuele helped narrow down where to go and how to navigate each area and made great recommendations for what to see, do and explore. He gives you plenty of time to explore on your own time and is there if you need assistance. It is also fun to connect with other members on the tour. We highly recommend Napoli Official Tour and Samuele was a great guide! We enjoyed getting to know him and all that he had to share!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We are delighted to hear that you had such a great experience with Samuele and enjoyed the Amalfi Coast tour from beginning to end. 😊 We truly appreciate your kind words about the organization of the tour, the ferry experience, and Samuele’s knowledge and recommendations. We’re especially happy that he helped you navigate Positano and Amalfi while still giving you plenty of time to explore at your own pace. It was a pleasure having you with us, and we hope to welcome you again for another unforgettable experience in Naples and the Amalfi Coast! 🇮🇹🌊 **Napoli Official Tour**

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From Naples: Amalfi Day Trip to Positano Guided tour by Sea: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does From Naples: Amalfi Day Trip to Positano Guided tour by Sea cost?
+
Prices start at $95 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Naples: Amalfi Day Trip to Positano Guided tour by Sea take?
+
Plan for about 9.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is From Naples: Amalfi Day Trip to Positano Guided tour by Sea worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 139 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Naples: Amalfi Day Trip to Positano Guided tour by Sea?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Naples: Amalfi Day Trip to Positano Guided tour by Sea suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Naples: Amalfi Day Trip to Positano Guided tour by Sea?
+
Around 49 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 9.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Naples: Amalfi Day Trip to Positano Guided tour by Sea start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
