Tour from CDMX to Cuernavaca and Taxco

The operator sent the tour guide and pickup details late day before, they did not answer my questions until day before, the good part was they picked up at the hotel. The traffic was annoyed so we took 4 hours from CDMX to Cuernavaca, my recommendations is the departure be earlier (tour departure time 8:55am) . In Cuernavaca we had 30 minutes to see a church, thats all. At 4pm we arrived to Taxco restaurant and a store. choosen by the tour operator , to had a lunch , but the food options was not good enough, we did not have options to ate there and paid go that, at that time some of tourist reported to the tour guide Tere, the driver fell sleep while driving. This fact put us on alert. The driver didn't know the route and his cell phone didn't work for him to have access the internet, and the tour guide and the driver they didn't hace a good communication between them, the driver was the uncle if the tour operator owner. In Taxco we had 30 min free time, and the tour guide Tere, tried to compensated the time missing due the traffic jump. Tere knew a lot and she tried to explained interesting facts of the history, she is very good!

A small group made up of folks from the US and other Latin countries. Wonderful guide and driver. I really enjoyed the history lesson. Visit was short but definitely makes me want to come back and visit Taxco and Cuernavaca for a few more days.

TAXCO 100% RECOMMENDED

TAXCO was beautiful!!!! worth the tour 🥰 i’d go again! BUT they did pick us up an hour late + Cuernavaca was a shorter stay than stated. Other than that, Taxco was worth the trouble !!

Taxco town was pretty.

Wasted time at a silver sales pitch stop. Cuernavaca was a big disappointment. Nothing really there.

Magic town Taxco

We were so happy to visit magic town of Taxco with a small group and our wonderful guide Lolve. The trip was actually long, about 12 hours, but everything was very organized and comfortable. We had enough time to see Taxco ourselves, after short story about this town from Lolve. The town is really beautiful and unique. So we very recommend to visit it with this tour. Thanks to our guide Lolve and our driver for good job and perfect music choice.

From Mexico City: Taxco and Cuernavaca: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Mexico City.

How much does From Mexico City: Taxco and Cuernavaca cost?

+

Prices start at $750 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Mexico City usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does From Mexico City: Taxco and Cuernavaca take?

+

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Mexico City is not rushed.

Is From Mexico City: Taxco and Cuernavaca worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Mexico City, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule From Mexico City: Taxco and Cuernavaca?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is From Mexico City: Taxco and Cuernavaca suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 10-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book From Mexico City: Taxco and Cuernavaca?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Mexico City can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Mexico City and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does From Mexico City: Taxco and Cuernavaca start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Mexico City within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Mexico City?

+

On Outty we rank every Mexico City experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Frida Kahlo VIP [Museum Tickets Included] Walk, Markets & Churros, Local Foodie Adventure CDMX: Tacos & more with Sherpa Food Tours, Mexico City Historical Centre Food Tour with 7 Tastings & Drinks. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Mexico City?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Mexico City?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
