Huge disappointment
The tour guide Laura was very nice and very helpful. The main reason I am giving this tour company one star is because I can’t gove them 0 star. I sent this company an e mail prior to departure from the states telling them that visiting Alhambra, which is part of the tour, must be included and. to make sure it is because it is the only reason I am taking this tour. When we arrived to Granada, the tour guide told us that she had bad news for us when I asked what could this be I was told that they couldn’t secure tickets for us to visit Alhambra. We ended up not visiting the main reason We traveled to Spain to see. It was a huge disappointment to say the least.
Response from the operator: Dear mazenm809, Thank you for taking the time to write this review, It saddens me to learn that the escorted tour didn't live up to your expectations, Please bear in mind, that Alhambra's availability is extremely tight and ticket entrance can not be pre-booked without the complete passenger documentation, Once the information needed is received, in case there is no availability to visit the monument, the booking agency is immediately informed, I appreciate your kind words about our guide, Laura, Best regards,

Andalusia Tour
This was an excellent short tour and we saw the main parts of southern Spain. Our tour guide was excellent (Laura) and she catered for us beautifully even though we were the only English speaking couple on the tour. The hotels were all acceptable or good except possibly for the last one in Granada which was barely acceptable.
Response from the operator: Dear David_B, Thank you for sharing your feedback about the 5 Day Tour Andalusia with Costa del Sol and Toledo. We're thrilled to hear that you had an excellent tour and were able to explore the main highlights of southern Spain. We're glad that your tour guide, Laura, provided exceptional service and catered to your needs, despite being the only English-speaking couple on the tour. We appreciate your comments about the hotels, and we apologize if the last one in Granada did not meet your expectations. We'll take note of your feedback and work towards improving our accommodations for future tours. Thank you for choosing our tour, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for more unforgettable experiences. Best regards,

Great experience
Margherita was immensely knowledge and very entertaining. The hotel's we stayed at were nice. Every local guide they hired were passionate about the history of the place and it showed. Loved Granada and Costa del Sol especially. Definitely recommended. Will travel with Julia travels again.

Second time was even better!
Did the 5 day version of this trip two years ago. The 6 day was a better option, a better use of our time and slower paced. Don't get me wrong, it is still lots to see in six days. Get ready to walk. You will get a very good idea of the complex history of Spain. If you love antiquity, history, art, and walking, this is for you. Comfortable hotels with excellent guides. Ismael is a master historian so we enjoyed his detailed explanations. Do at least one flamenco show. Take a cab to Malaga while at Torremolinos. Get tickets to the Alcazar and Cathedral in Seville. Travel light please. Don't unpack fully at each stop. Look at the local artisans and buy their exquisite crafts. See each site in the day and at night. Magical places worth seeing at different times of the day. Eat at the local eateries. Do your research and prepare ahead of time. Lots' to learn and enjoy on this trip. Cheers!

Good trip
I enjoyed the trip. we got to stay in good hotels and the city guides were very knowledgable and good However the downsize of the trip is you do not have a guide with you and the driver knowledge was very limited..some place he just left us wiithout any guides and we got lost so many times..he did not explain well enough what to do, where to eat etc..having a guide at every place as soon as we get down would have helped once eveything was explained and shown then they could leave for us to explore. My family enjoyed the trip.

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From Madrid: Gems of Andalusia 6-Day Sightseeing Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Madrid.
How much does From Madrid: Gems of Andalusia 6-Day Sightseeing Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $1090 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Madrid usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Madrid: Gems of Andalusia 6-Day Sightseeing Tour take?
+
Plan for about 144 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Madrid is not rushed.
Is From Madrid: Gems of Andalusia 6-Day Sightseeing Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 258 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Madrid, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Madrid: Gems of Andalusia 6-Day Sightseeing Tour?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is From Madrid: Gems of Andalusia 6-Day Sightseeing Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 144-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Madrid: Gems of Andalusia 6-Day Sightseeing Tour?
+
Around 90 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Madrid can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Madrid and add a light layer if any part of the 144-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Madrid: Gems of Andalusia 6-Day Sightseeing Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Madrid within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Madrid?
+
On Outty we rank every Madrid experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Madrid Essential: Historic Center, Plaza Mayor & Royal Palace, Madrid Walking Tour from Puerta del Sol to Retiro Park, Madrid Oscuro: Torture, Ghosts, Crimes and Legends. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Madrid?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Madrid?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
