Piran is a beautiful...
Piran is a beautiful place, we opted out of the guided tour and headed to the sea. Traffic can be heavy as Piran is popular so be prepared for this. Barbara was a great guide giving lots of information on the journey

Wonderful trip to Piran
Jure was an excellent guide on our visit to Piran. He was knowledgeable about Piran and the region and helpful in suggesting an excellent restaurant. His walking tour accommodated our group nicely. I would highly recommend this tour.

Good half day trip
The Van ride to Piran can vary between 80-120 minutes each way, so plan accordingly. If there is a full group (7+) the seating can be a bit tight, especially if you are taller. The guide was great and the city is fun with lots to do.
Response from the operator: Thank you for the thoughtful review and helpful tips for fellow travelers! We’re glad you enjoyed exploring Piran and had a great time with your guide. You made some excellent points—the drive down to the coast can indeed take a bit longer depending on traffic, and while our 8-passenger minivans are standard, a full group can feel snug for taller guests. We really appreciate your honest feedback, and we're delighted that the experience and the charm of Piran made the trip so worthwhile!

trip to Piran
Tour guide was very knowledgable and gave us a lot of good information. We had plenty of time to explore on our own or with guide. Pickup and return were prompt. Very enjoyable experience and way to see other parts of Slovenia
Response from the operator: We are so thrilled to hear this! Having a knowledgeable guide who gives you great context while still giving you plenty of freedom to explore at your own pace is truly the best way to travel. Knowing that the pickup and return were completely prompt and that you got to discover more of Slovenia's beauty makes it even better! Thank you so much for traveling with us and taking the time to share your kind review!

Great Morning but time is too less
The drive and our guide was good! However Piran is so so gorgeous that 3 hours are wayyy too less! Would’ve been great and could’ve really enjoyed the day had it been at least 5 hours!
Response from the operator: We really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us! It's wonderful to hear that the drive was smooth and that you enjoyed spending the day with your guide. We couldn't agree more about Piran—with its stunning Venetian architecture, charming alleyways, and breathtaking coastal views, it is absolute pure magic and so easy to lose track of time in! Striking the right balance on a day trip between driving time and exploring on foot is always a bit of a tightrope walk. That said, we completely understand wanting more time to soak in those gorgeous seaside vibes without feeling on the clock. We take notes on timing very seriously, and we'll be sharing your comments with our operations team to see how we can optimize our coastal itineraries to give guests more time to explore. Thank you so much for traveling with us and for helping us make future trips even better!

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From Ljubljana: Piran Half day tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ljubljana.
How much does From Ljubljana: Piran Half day tour cost?
+
Prices start at $37 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ljubljana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Ljubljana: Piran Half day tour take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ljubljana is not rushed.
Is From Ljubljana: Piran Half day tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 52 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ljubljana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Ljubljana: Piran Half day tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Ljubljana: Piran Half day tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Ljubljana: Piran Half day tour?
+
Around 18 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ljubljana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ljubljana and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Ljubljana: Piran Half day tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ljubljana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Ljubljana?
+
On Outty we rank every Ljubljana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Slovenia in One Day: Small-Group Bled, Postojna Cave & Predjama, Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle - Entrance Tickets Included, Lake Bled and Bohinj with Savica waterfall included. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Ljubljana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Ljubljana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
