Could have made better use of the available media to better illustrate the full horror.
Our driver, Kacper, was really excellent. Spot on timing, careful driving, informative and personable. The visit to Auschwitz/Birkenhau was harrowing and well organised. We did a two hour tour and the guide was ok. There is a lot to see and it is harrowing, emotional and powerful. Guide was ok, but group sizes (c.30) were probably too big and at time it seemed a tad rushed. Additionally, there is so much video data available - for example that shown at the Nuremberg trials - which could have been used to powerful effect. In my view, there is a lot of scope to better illustrate the full horror.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your thoughtful and detailed feedback. We’re very pleased to hear that Kacper provided excellent service throughout the journey with punctuality, safe driving, and a professional yet personable approach. We’ll be sure to pass your kind words on to him. Auschwitz-Birkenau is an incredibly moving and emotional place to visit, and we appreciate your honest reflections on the experience. We understand your comments regarding the group size and pacing of the guided tour, as well as your thoughts on the use of additional historical materials to further illustrate the history. Feedback like yours is truly valuable and helps us continue improving the experience for future visitors. Thank you again for travelling with us and for taking the time to share such meaningful observations.

Highly Recommended Tour with Excellent Private Driver Kacperro
We had an exceptional experience during our guided visit to Auschwitz. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. A private driver, Kacperro, picked us up directly from our hotel, which made everything very easy and comfortable. He drove us to the site and brought us back after the visit. Kacperro was extremely friendly, professional, and very pleasant. He also took the time to give us many great recommendations for our stay, which we really appreciated. The guided tour of Auschwitz itself was very informative, moving, and perfectly managed. It is a powerful experience that we highly recommend. Many thanks for the impeccable organization and the quality of the service!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your wonderful and detailed review. We are truly glad to hear that your visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum was such a meaningful and well-organized experience. It’s great to know that your Tour from Krakow met your expectations from start to finish. We are especially happy that Kacperro made your journey comfortable and enjoyable with his friendly and professional approach, as well as helpful recommendations during your stay in Poland. We truly appreciate your kind words about the guided visit itself – it is indeed a powerful and important experience for many visitors. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you again on another Tour from Krakow in the future.

An experience you must do, very in depth, informative and a well designed tour of such a dark time. Drive (who took us) was great and super cool, (good luck with your course dude) ...

Excellent Driver -
Our driver Mathew was efficient and organised and would definitely use Mathew again. Tickets were organised for us and he directed us through to the English tour group - The tour of Auschwitz- which is organised by the actual camp facility is terrible - you can’t visit the camp without being a part of their tour - there’s too many people - you’re treated like cattle - our guide was suppose to be English speaking - I’m guessing English was a 4th language for her. There’s no time to look and reflect - it’s a travesty -
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience and honest feedback. We're very glad to hear that your driver, Mathew, was efficient and helpful.🙌 We're sorry to hear that the experience at the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum itself didn’t meet expectations. As you mentioned, the tour inside the camp is managed solely by the official museum. Thank you again for taking the time to review

Tour was very informative, our driver was extremely knowledgeable. Learned a lot about history and current events.
Our driver was a world of knowledge, it was a great experience to also understand a little more about Poland 🇵🇱 and its history including your perspective. Our actual tour of the camps was very overwhelming, the scale of the operation was extreme. This topic was spoken about in discussions however we have never seen face to face so to speak. Very important and informative piece of history, which does repeat itself through time. Thank you again. L&T
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your profound experience. It’s powerful to hear how the tour and your driver’s insights helped deepen your understanding of Poland’s history and the gravity of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Thanks again for your thoughtful reflection. 🙏

From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau: Guided Tours & Private Transport: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.
How much does From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau: Guided Tours & Private Transport cost?
+
Prices start at $27 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau: Guided Tours & Private Transport take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.
Is From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau: Guided Tours & Private Transport worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 65 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau: Guided Tours & Private Transport?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau: Guided Tours & Private Transport suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau: Guided Tours & Private Transport?
+
Around 23 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Krakow: Auschwitz-Birkenau: Guided Tours & Private Transport start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krakow?
+
On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krakow?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krakow?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
