Ride and driver were excellent; the visit could be improved.
The driver was very nice, spoke excellent English, and navigated us very well through the traffic in Krakow, to Auschwitz and back. The tour itself could be improved. Unfortunately, the quality of the technology (microphone) was very poor, making it difficult to understand the text. Moreover, it is impossible to take the necessary time for reflection amidst the crowds being funneled through the exhibition, which is needed to give the horrific events the respect they deserve. I understand that there are many interested individuals who wish to visit Auschwitz, and I personally believe that visiting one of the memorial sites should be part of the mandatory program for European youth. However, I doubt that young people take much away from their visit to Auschwitz, as there is no time to truly absorb the experience. This is, however, not a criticism of the organizers of the visit; Auschwitz should consider solutions for this issue. Many heartfelt thanks to today's driver, Tuesday, June 26. Ride with 5 German guests to Auschwitz.

Misled by Tour Operator
We did not book until two months prior, so had limited options. Booked a 10:30 tour Apr 29 including box lunch. At 5 pm on the 28th (after the payment and cancellation deadline) we received a text stating that departure time switched to 6 am (also received too late to cancel prepaid hotel breakfast - $40 Cdn). Discovered that several others on tour with various reservation times also switched to 6:00. Classic “bait and switch” con. Offer a wide variety of options to attract customers (bait), then transfer all to a single, more cost effective starting time (1 bus, driver and guide) after receiving payment (switch). Of course, the prepaid box lunch delivered to us at 9:30 am was pointless as the return trip started just after 11 and we were not allowed to eat on the bus. The tour itself was fine but I strongly resent being manipulated in this manner. Avoid this tour operator at all costs.

Thank you for making it possible!
I just want to thank Beata for making it possible for my whole family to visit the Auschwitz camp. We initially booked with another high profile company only to be informed our tickets weren’t secured and had to be cancelled 2 days before the tour!! Left in a frenzy, I googled and found Beata from Time4Poland, who successfully booked us in under such short notice. The arrangement was seamless and the guide was v informative and patient. Than you so much!!!

Bad
Very disorganized! They changed my departure last minute and didn’t let me know. I showed up and had no idea the time was changed. Had to call Viator and the tour company multiple times. Very stressful and unnecessary frustration. The did end up scheduling me for a tour that was an hour later but at that point I was exhausted and upset. No partial refund was given, no apologies!

A tragic part of history, VERY RELIABLE TOUR PROVIDER!
After one tour group basically stole our money for nothing received and never picked us up nor provided their "booklet", This company was absolutely top notch! Don't use anyone else. They picked us up in a Mercedes Mini Bus exactly on time and waited for sandwiches and then picked up everyone else on time. We then drove to Auschwitz , which is about an hour plus drive. It is a two part tour. Auschwitz is first. Everything you have always seen does not prepare you for the reality, which was much worse. Our guide, and the guide stays with you for the entire two parts was EXCELLENT. ( a lovely mid-aged dark haired and I think Sabrina or Maresca) I do not know how these guides revisit this horror every day in such a sensitive and caring manner. Then you travel a very short distance to Birkenau by the bus. This next part is even more walking and we both were struggling physically even though we are in good shape for our age. Everything the authorities could preserve after the Nazis tried to destroy the evidence, they did and still today, they continue their efforts. The scale is monumental of the death and havoc wreaked. The entire site was huge and you only see parts. The site stretches as far as you can see. Prepare yourself mentally and physically, but this is something everyone needs to see. Especially in the light of the mislabeling and deception done now in the current conflicts, by descendants of the people that were the first Mid East allies of Hitler. As he famous quote says, "Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it."

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
From Kraków: Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour with Pick Up: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Krakow.
How much does From Kraków: Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour with Pick Up cost?
+
Prices start at $82 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Krakow usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does From Kraków: Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour with Pick Up take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Krakow is not rushed.
Is From Kraków: Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour with Pick Up worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Krakow, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule From Kraków: Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour with Pick Up?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is From Kraków: Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour with Pick Up suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book From Kraków: Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour with Pick Up?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Krakow can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Krakow and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does From Kraków: Auschwitz-Birkenau Tour with Pick Up start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Krakow within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Krakow?
+
On Outty we rank every Krakow experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Complete Cracow Bike Tour (small group of maximum 15 people!), Krakow–Zakopane: Cable Car, Chocholow Baths, Cheese & Vodka, Krakow: Zakopane & Hot Springs Tour with Cable Car (Hotel Pickup). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Krakow?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Krakow?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
