Our guide Anti was...
Our guide Anti was flexible and showed us what she thought we would like to see. She was right and made great suggestions. Excellent.

Very overpriced
Knossos and the museum are amazing. However, the Knossos full-day tour from Heraklion with pick-up is nothing but a very overpriced taxi ride. It is barely 5km from Heraklion(I should have checked) and a bus ride would cost about €2.5 per person.

Extraño, raro...
This is not a tour or something alike. It is a transfer service according to your timing. No indications, no "avoid the line for tickets..." Just two or three transfers. Our driver himself was very nice.

Good experience
The pick up is on time and driver is very professional. Provided history and what to look out for while on the way to the site.

Not worth the money. Just get a taxi yourself.
Not worth the money. The original driver did not turn up, but handed over to another driver who did not speak much English. He was a lovely man but not a guide. The listing is very clear that this is just a taxi service and there is no guiding, but what isn’t mentioned is that Knossos Palace is about 15 minutes out of Heraklion by taxi, not out in the countryside as I supposed. So I could’ve just got my own taxi there and back to the museum and walked to the fortress for a lot less money.

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Heraklion?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Heraklion?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
