Good value for tour to Kylemore Abbey and Connemara
Enjoyed the bus trip to Kylemore Abbey and Connemara. The Kylemore Abbey stop was terrific and really enjoyable but at 2.5 hours a little limited. Would / could have spent more time in the Walled Garden and hiking through many trails. Not a ton of stops in Connemara Park but enough to get some great photos and scenic views. No specific stop for lunch so keep this in mind. Guide was on a bit chatty over the PA but not terribly so. Just be prepared for a herky-jerky ride as roads are narrow and the slow/stop/start with a top heavy bus can be rough in the afternoon coming back to Galway.

Bad customer service
The driver and guide was a nice guy, however the guy who takes on the passenger was a nightmare, i was there in front of the bus, he did not tell me they are planning to leave earlier than the established hour(9:15 instead of 9:30) and they just shut the doors to leave, i was just lucky that there was another man out who had friends in the bus and insisted for them to open the doors, if not i would have been left out.Great customer service….moreover we did not make all the stops that appear on the schedule, it’s just a long bus ride with 3 hour free time to explore…i would not recommend in a million years
Response from the operator: Good morning, check in time on all tours is 15 minutes prior to departure. When we have multiple coaches on a particular tour, I load the the the first coach and send it out early. This reduces the number of passengers waiting around 'in front of the bus' and it also puts a gap between coaches / passengers arriving at the stops. I'm sorry that you didn't get the memo in relation my complicated boarding proceedure.

Bad weather couldn't dampen the fun. 3 hours is necessary!
This was a fine excursion, the only unfortunate thing was the entirely unable to predict or plan-for bad weather. Had to run in and out more quickly than planned. But honestly, the three hours at the abbey was brilliant - if we had great weather we still would have been rushed! We went quickly through the walled gardens, the abbey and the gothic church, barely having enough time to sit down and have lunch and visit the gift shop (which has quite a lot to choose from!). Definitely take advantage of this gem with its three hour (vs. two) window, even though it made for a long day, Mike made the ride go quickly. And the discounted admission was a bonus too! Biggest surprise: the very modest but fun "waterfall"
