Lovely day if not pricey for what you get.

I need to break up this rating to be completely honest. It is door to door service, so you expect to pay a premium. Our driver Osvaldo was fantastic and enjoyable and picked us up in Florence and then dropped us off at the end of the day. Truly door to door. The trip is between 90-120 minutes depending on traffic. Emma, our handler who met us and was our escort to our tour guide, as well as the San Luca Express ride and back to our driver was very pleasant and full of information. The tour itself was informative, and Christina (sp?) was a lovely tour guide and proud Bologna resident. Bologna truly was home to incredible innovation and discovery owing to its focus on education and university system. Lunch was very simple, but pleasant and delicious. We bought a few extra glasses of wine. We then went onto the San Luca express up to the cathedral, which was gorgeous. We went solo at this point as our guide had dropped us off for lunch after about 2.5 hours. The cathedral was very impressive, but we only had 35 minutes to explore as we had to get back for our ride back to Florence. The experience itself was a 4+ and could have been 5 with more time to explore San Luca. The team was a 5 all the way. Osvaldo, Emma, and Christina were great. I just struggled with the price tag. It was a truly door to door experience, but it just fell short due to the price tag in my honest opinion.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for sharing your experience with us. We’re delighted to hear that you appreciated the professionalism and kindness of our team throughout the day. Ensuring a smooth and enjoyable service from start to finish is something we truly care about, and it’s wonderful to know that our staff contributed positively to your visit. We also value your overall feedback, as it helps us continue improving the experience for our guests. Thank you again for choosing our service and for taking the time to leave your review. We hope to welcome you back on another occasion.

What should I bring or wear?

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
