Firstly, there was so much fog that I couldn't even see the Taj Mahal, so that was incredibly disappointing, a waste of time and money. Secondly, my driver was friendly, but a bit too friendly. I am a single woman traveller, and I get carsick, so I sat in the front seat. The driver often was trying to give me hugs and slapping my leg and leaving his hand there. It was very awkward, particularly for a 5 hour drive. On the way back I sat in the backseat. The guide doesn't get into the car until you're in Agra, but he had told me he hadn't met that driver before, so maybe it was just a one off.

Response from the operator: Dear mam, Thank you for being our valued guest. Each and every guest is important to us. Although it was a short introduction tour to the Taj Mahal, we would love to serve you again on your tour. This tour took place in the month of January 2020 when it was quite cold and foggy. After discussing with our tour guide and driver, the below points are followed. When this tour took place, our guide suggested you do Agra Fort first and then Taj Mahal so that you would be able to witness Taj clearly. But you were willing to witness Taj first, so the Guide followed the same. There is a general perception that if a person sitting next to the driver sleeps, the driver might also feel sleepy. The tour began with a pickup from your hotel at 2:30 AM in the morning, followed by a 3-4 hours drive to Agra. While you sat on the front seat and were feeling sleepy, our driver tried waking you up several times so that he did not feel asleep on such a long drive. He just meant to wake you up when you were falling sleepy, and also because of being heavily foggy, the roads were not at all visible. Because in your feedback, you’ve confirmed that when you sat on the back seat while returning to Delhi, it was absolutely comfortable. This was the second duty of this driver with us. On getting your feedback, we dismissed the driver, because the guests are a top priority for us. It would be a wonderful opportunity for us to serve you again on the tour and show you our hospitality.

From Delhi: Sunrise Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for New Delhi.

How much does From Delhi: Sunrise Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in New Delhi usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does From Delhi: Sunrise Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in New Delhi is not rushed.

Is From Delhi: Sunrise Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in New Delhi, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule From Delhi: Sunrise Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is From Delhi: Sunrise Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book From Delhi: Sunrise Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in New Delhi can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in New Delhi and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does From Delhi: Sunrise Taj Mahal and Agra Fort Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central New Delhi within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in New Delhi?

    +

On Outty we rank every New Delhi experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Taj Mahal & Agra Private Tour By AC Car From Delhi with 5* Meal, Taj Mahal & Agra Fort Private Day Trip From Delhi with 5* Lunch, Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Baby Taj Day Tour from Delhi by Car. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit New Delhi?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in New Delhi?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
