⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommended – Excellent Transport & Tour Service!
I booked my trip with Johnny Tours and had an outstanding experience from beginning to end. The transportation was very comfortable, and the sleeper bus was clean, smooth, and perfectly on time, which made the journey to Mui Ne so easy and relaxing. The tour itself was well organized and exceeded my expectations. Our guide was friendly, helpful, and always made sure everyone was having a great time. We visited all the must-see spots, and the schedule was well-planned without feeling rushed. The activities were fun, the views were beautiful, and the whole day felt effortless thanks to the team’s professionalism. Johnny Tours truly delivers excellent service and great value. If you are visiting Mui Ne and want a reliable, enjoyable, and memorable experience, I highly recommend booking with them. I would definitely choose Johnny Tours again!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the tour from start to finish — from the pink jeep pickup to the delicious food and the beautiful sunset at the coffee shop. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Do; he’ll be so happy to know you appreciated his guiding and explanations. We hope to welcome you on another adventure soon!

A Major Letdown – Unsafe Conditions, Poor Planning & Misleading Itinerary
Our Mui Ne day trip turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences of our entire vacation. In total, we spent 15 hours traveling, yet we were only able to leave the bus for around 4.5 hours. The rest of the day was wasted in transit, discomfort, and confusion. Right at the start, the tour took us to a “coffee plantation,” which was actually a rundown animal attraction. The conditions were heartbreaking: tigers confined to tiny cages with no water or shade, lions kept on chains, elephants used purely for entertainment, and distressed monkeys on display. This stop felt deeply unethical. The journey continued along a road that is officially marked as closed on Google Maps — and after experiencing it, we understood why. The route was in terrible shape, making the ride feel unsafe and unnecessarily long. What was advertised as a 3-hour journey ended up dragging on for nearly 5 hours. When we finally arrived, we were told that one of the main attractions, the waterfall, had been removed from the tour without any prior notice. Due to the delays, every other activity felt rushed. At the sand dunes, we were given barely 20 minutes, which was hardly enough time to get off the bus, hop on a quad bike, take a few photos, and return. The Fairy Stream, usually promoted as a scenic walk, had been heavily affected by flooding and resembled a muddy drainage channel rather than a natural highlight. Again, there was zero communication about this in advance. The fishing village looked picturesque from a viewpoint, but once we reached the beach, the reality was very different: unpleasant smells, piles of trash, and clear neglect. We were rushed through this stop as well. The only moment that truly lived up to expectations was the sunset at the red sand dunes — a brief break in an otherwise frustrating day. By that point, everyone in the group seemed exhausted and annoyed by the poor organization. After multiple complaints, the company offered a complimentary dinner, but it did little to compensate for the misleading itinerary, unsafe travel conditions, mistreatment of animals, and chaotic planning. We strongly recommend avoiding this tour. It felt far from a professional excursion — more like a misleading and poorly run operatio n.
Response from the operator: Dear guest Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. Regarding the travel time from Da Lat to Mui Ne, we would like to clarify that the 3-hour estimate refers to the *direct* driving time. Additional stops on the way will naturally extend the total duration, and we explained this clearly to your friend during the booking process. We apologize if this caused any misunderstanding. We also want to assure you that all activities and stops included in your itinerary were provided exactly as described in our offer. Our team always aims to deliver a comfortable and enjoyable experience, and we sincerely regret that you felt disappointed. Your feedback is very important to us, and we will review all points you mentioned to improve the experience for future guests. We wish you all the best in your future travels and thank you again for your comments. Warm regards The Johnny Tours Team

Extremely Disappointing Mui Ne Tour – Unsafe, Misleading & Poorly Organized
We joined the Mui Ne day tour with high expectations, but unfortunately it turned out to be the biggest disappointment of our entire trip. The tour started with a completely unexpected and very uncomfortable stop at a so-called “coffee plantation,” which was essentially a poorly maintained mini-zoo. Several animals were kept in unacceptable conditions: tigers in tiny cages without water or shade, lions on chains, elephants used as attractions, and distressed monkeys. This was never mentioned in the itinerary and felt extremely unethical. The journey continued on a road that Google Maps openly marks as closed—and for good reason. The road was in terrible condition, making the ride both unsafe and exhausting. The promised 3-hour transfer took nearly 5 hours. Upon arrival, we were informed that one of the main highlights, the waterfall, had been removed from the tour. Due to poor time management, the remaining activities felt rushed. At the sand dunes, we had barely 20 minutes to get out, take a quad, snap some photos, and leave. The Fairy Stream, which is usually advertised as a beautiful walk, was severely impacted by flooding and looked more like a muddy drainage channel than a natural attraction. Again, nothing was communicated beforehand. The visit to the fishing village was Instagrammable from above, but once on the beach it was extremely smelly and covered in trash. We were quickly ushered in and out, just long enough for photos. The day ended with the red sand dunes at sunset — the only genuinely enjoyable moment — but by that time, the entire group was visibly frustrated by the constant delays and poor organization. After numerous complaints, we were eventually offered a free dinner, but this did not make up for the misleading itinerary, unsafe transport, animal cruelty, and overall chaotic planning. We strongly advise future travelers to avoid this tour until major improvements are made. The experience felt more like a scam than a professionally organized excursion.
Response from the operator: Dear guest Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are very sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations, and we understand how disappointing this must have been during your trip. We would like to clarify that the drive from Da Lat to Mui Ne normally takes around 3 hours without any stops, As explained to your group before departure, the total travel time depends on how many stops guests choose to make along the way — including the coffee plantation, rest breaks, and the lunch stop. These additional breaks naturally extend the duration of the journey. Regarding the itinerary, we want to assure you that we followed the tour program exactly as described The only exception was the waterfall, which had to be removed due to local conditions outside of our control. For this reason, and as a gesture of goodwill, we offered your group a **complimentary dinner**, even though it was not included in the original package. We are very sorry that some of the locations did not match your expectations, especially due to seasonal weather changes, flooding, and local maintenance conditions that can affect natural attractions and roads. These factors are unfortunately unpredictable, but we always aim to communicate and support our guests as best as we can. Your feedback is important to us, and we will continue working to improve our service and communication. We truly regret that your experience fell short, and we hope you were still able to enjoy some moments during your time in Vietnam. Kind regards, The Johnny Tours Team

Absolute afrader – our worst tour experience ever
We booked a tour with a group of ten to Mui Ne, and this was without a doubt one of the most disappointing and poorly organized tours we have ever experienced. It started with misleading information about the travel time. At the hostel we were already looked at strangely when we told them we were going to Mui Ne — it would be at least 5 hours away according to the owner. The tour operator assured us it would only take 3 hours. In the end we were in the van for 4.5 hours, and that was just the beginning. Throughout the day, the actual travel time remained structurally much longer than what was announced. The supervisor blamed everything on “roadworks”, when they had clearly been going on for days or weeks. An intermediate ride of 20 minutes soon became 50. That's how it kept going. We left at 8am in the hostel and only arrived back at 11pm. Had we known that we would spend more time in the van than would actually be on site, we would never have booked this tour. No one wants to spend 4.5 hours one way and then be hunted to get to the next location due to time constraints. The first stop: animals in miserable conditions The tour started on a coffee plantation where you could buy a much overpriced coffee. To our surprise, this also turned out to be a kind of private zoo, with elephants ridden, lions with iron chains around their necks in small pens, tigers in too small enclosures, two weasels tied to a bank with a chain, monkeys in a cage, ostriches with saddles to ride, crocodiles,... It was painful to have to watch and absolutely something you don't want to end up in on an organized tour. The animals live in harrowing and appalling conditions. In short: Nothing was clear and pretty much everything was later, slower or different than promised. Never book here!
Met vriendelijke groet, The Johnny Tours Team

Best Trip to Sand Dunes & Reasonable Price
The tour was sooo great. Jeep driver and the guide did their job really well. They even took great photos of us. Will definitely recommend to my friends and family to take this package in future. The complimentary drinks and dinner were good too! Overall the whole experience from DaLat to MuiNe and back to HCM was great and less hassle for us. Pickup and drop-off for the sleeper bus was arranged well. For me, this package is really worth my money!! Great service!!

Providing excellent service to our customers is our top priority, and it means a lot to know we met your expectations. We look forward to welcoming you again soon! Warm regards, Mr. Johnny

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
