The highlight of our trip to Peru

The tours of Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley were the highlight of our 2 weeks in Peru. Huaynas Expeditions arranged everything for us and everything went without problems. Brandon was a fantastic guide the whole time and Miguel gave us a great experience during our hike to Rainbow Mountain. We have made a number of private tours in Peru and elsewhere in the world. This was by far our best tour experience and would 100% recommend Huaynas Expeditions!

Do not let this experience pass by you!!!!

My husband and I were stuck in Lima for an extra day and a half due to flights being canceled, Juve arranged a private tour. Our flight was delayed three more hours- the tour guide stayed!!!! We only had one day in Cusco due to the fight mess and I was going to be so sad if we didn’t see rainbow mountain. Juve sent Pole and Javier to help us on this adventure. They were knowledge, funny, passionate and extremely understanding. My husband and I would recommended this tour to anyone. Rainbow mountain is amazing but pick your tour guides here it will be an intimidate and amazing experience plus the food was amazing!!!!!

Response from the operator: Dear Lucy C, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review of your trip to Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain I am glad that we were able accommodate this tour for you I hope we get the opportunity to welcome you back soon. Kind regards, Huaynas Expeditions Team

Is From Cusco: Rainbow Mountain Trek 1 Day - Huaynas Expeditions worth it?

+

Can I cancel or reschedule From Cusco: Rainbow Mountain Trek 1 Day - Huaynas Expeditions?

The operator sets a minimum age of 15. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 12-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book From Cusco: Rainbow Mountain Trek 1 Day - Huaynas Expeditions?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cusco can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cusco and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

What are the best things to do in Cusco?

+

On Outty we rank every Cusco experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sacred Valley Full Day Tour, Peruvian Cooking Class Cocktails and Market Tour in Cusco, Cusco: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Day Trip with Meals. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cusco?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cusco?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
