    Best Catamaran Experience

this was the best experience I’ve ever had while on a boat. The team here really made everything so comfortable and made me feel so safe. I couldn’t have asked for a better mom and Pop company to do this with. I appreciate each of the members on board.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for joining us for the fireworks cruise. We are thrilled to hear that this was the best boat experience you have ever had and that our team made you feel safe and comfortable throughout the evening. We take great pride in our family-owned business and truly appreciate your kind words about our crew. It was a pleasure having you on board, and we hope to welcome you back again for another magical night on the water.

    Great trip!

We had such a great time in Captain Hollis’ fireworks cruise! Staff was amazing and we got to sit in Captain chair. Grandkids loved it! Yummy snacks. Wonderful weather. Felt very safe.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so glad you and your grandkids had a great time on Captain Hollis’ fireworks cruise — sitting in the Captain’s chair sounds like a blast! Our crew takes pride in creating a safe and fun environment for families. If you enjoyed the cruise, we’d also highly recommend trying one of our Waikiki snorkeling tours next time — it’s another unforgettable way to enjoy the ocean. Hope to see you again soon!

    sad. 😔

weren’t able to take our tour. we got lost so we missed it. tried to get in contact with someone and we were unable to until the very last minute.

Response from the operator: We're really sorry to hear that you weren’t able to join the tour. We understand how frustrating it can be to miss out, especially when you're looking forward to it. We do our best to provide clear instructions, including emails and a text message 2 hours prior to the tour departure time including directions and our office hours.

Captain only along for the paycheck…

The cruise goes straight out and parks where you see fireworks and quickly straight back to the pier. Fireworks show is short. Crew was not especially welcoming. Young man spoke to us on the top level and offered to take pictures. Once the cruise started and afterwards the crew did not interact with guests. No attempt to be friendly but they did hold their tip jar out. Captain was rude. His speaking tone suggested that he was tired and just wanted to go home. He even used an ugly tone to tell guests “I told you already not to take flash pictures!” And under his breath said “I’d like to throw you overboard if you do it again” The three crew members just talked loudly to themselves for the entire cruise and trip back. Felt like an imposition Don’t expect to have fun

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. We strive to provide an enjoyable and memorable experience for all our guests, and we’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet those expectations. We appreciate your comments and will take them into consideration as we continue to improve. Mahalo for giving us the opportunity to serve you.

Friday Night Waikiki Fireworks Cruise: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Oahu.

How much does Friday Night Waikiki Fireworks Cruise cost?

    +

Prices start at $79 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Oahu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Friday Night Waikiki Fireworks Cruise take?

    +

Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Oahu is not rushed.

Is Friday Night Waikiki Fireworks Cruise worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Oahu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Friday Night Waikiki Fireworks Cruise?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Friday Night Waikiki Fireworks Cruise suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Friday Night Waikiki Fireworks Cruise?

    +

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Oahu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Oahu and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Friday Night Waikiki Fireworks Cruise start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Oahu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Oahu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Oahu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Oahu: Full or Half Day Grand Circle Island Tour, Oahu Small-Group Circle Island Tour with Turtle Snorkeling, Pearl Harbor Remembered Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Oahu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Oahu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
