Excellent walking tour of Fredericksburg
Excellent walking tour of Fredericksburg. Tour guide Eugene was very knowledgeable of local history, personable and well informed. Highly recommend this tour!

A glimpse into the past.
My wife and daughter went on a tour with the founder of the company, Eugene. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Fredericksburg and is excited to share his knowledge with others. He has just hired a new guide, so I can't say your experience will be the same. If you get Eugene, be prepared to walk at a brisk pace. And pay attention, as he has so many facts and photos intermingled with the sites, that I was at times a little confused as to how they fit together. Stay close, because at times it was hard to hear with the sounds of the city all around. But overall, a good experience.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for joining our tour and for sharing your feedback. I’m glad you and your family had a good experience overall, and I truly appreciate your comments about the pacing and clarity of how the stories and photos connect. My goal is always to provide a five-star experience, and I’m sorry to hear that I fell short in a few areas during your visit. I’ll be more mindful about slowing the pace and ensuring the stories flow together more seamlessly. I value your feedback—it helps us improve and continue offering the best possible experience here in Fredericksburg. I hope we’ll have the chance to welcome you back again in the future.

Informative & fun
This was a very informative tour around downtown Fredericksburg. Eugene was passionate about the information & even shared some of his own personal ghost stories. He was also willing to start our tour 30 minutes early to attempt to avoid some rainy weather. All in all a fun group activity while visiting Fredericksburg.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for joining the tour and for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed the history and ghost stories, and I appreciate your flexibility with the weather. It was a pleasure having you on the walk, and I hope to see you again on another tour in Fredericksburg!

Learning about fredericksburg virginia revolutionary past
Walking tour was better than I had hoped learned a lot about the. Revolutionary war time, Fredericksburg and the important part. Fredericksburg played in Virginia at the time. These are things I did not know. I was only familiar with the relationship to the Civil War that Fredericksburg had. Our guide was fantastic
Response from the operator: I’m so happy to hear you enjoyed the tour and learned new things about Fredericksburg’s role in the Revolutionary War and beyond! Thank you for sharing your experience and for your thoughtful feedback. We’d love to welcome you back for another walk through history anytime.

Why this scores 65
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Fredericksburg Walking Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fredericksburg.
How much does Fredericksburg Walking Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fredericksburg usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Fredericksburg Walking Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fredericksburg is not rushed.
Is Fredericksburg Walking Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 65 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fredericksburg, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Fredericksburg Walking Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Fredericksburg Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Fredericksburg Walking Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fredericksburg can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fredericksburg and add a light layer if any part of the 1.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Fredericksburg Walking Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fredericksburg within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fredericksburg?
+
On Outty we rank every Fredericksburg experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Historic Fredericksburg Tours in a open view 1920's Model-A Wagon, Historical Fredericksburg SmartPhone App Self Guided Walking Tour, Fredericksburg Ghost Tour Discover Our Haunted Streets. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fredericksburg?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fredericksburg?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
