What you'll see and do

  1. Parque El Olivar de San Isidro

San Isidro is Lima's financial district, and among its many buildings, we find the enormous Parque el Olivar. In Peru, we were a Spanish colony for almost 300 years. Upon their arrival, the conquistadors began importing their own crops from Europe, including olive trees. In this beautiful park, we'll walk and learn about Lima's flora and fauna, among more than 1,500 olive trees. It also has beautiful lagoons with turtles and koi. This forest is also a favorite among bird watchers, where you can find up to 22 types of birds!

  2. Barranco

Barranco is one of Lima's oldest districts (1874). Since ancient times, it has been described by historians and poets as "Paradise on Earth." It has always been, and still is, the greatest source of inspiration for Lima's artists. This is where most of painters, writers, poets, musicians, and actors lived and still live! It stands out for its greenery and bohemian character. Here we will walk through the streets adorned with beautiful murals that speak to us about Peruvian culture and nature. Barranco is also famous for its cafes and restaurants; we can recommend good places to experience the local vibe!

  3. Puente de los Suspiros

The Bridge of Sighs is one of Lima's "most romantic" spots. This is where we locals come for our first dates and where couples come on weekends to propose marriage. Built to connect the Ermita Church and the small town of Barranco, it helped ancient residents cross a water channel used to irrigate their crops. You can take the best photos here!

    10 minutes here

  4. Mercado N 2 de Surquillo

If you really want to get to know the soul of a town, visit its markets. The Surquillo 2 market is one of the most popular in our city, an authentic place where the vendors are very friendly and proud of the wide variety of products they sell: vegetables, potatoes, fish, fruits—they sell everything! And that's how they support their families. Here we will try some seasonal fruits from different regions of Peru.

    35 minutes here

  5. Miraflores

Miraflores is one of Lima's districts with the best tourist infrastructure. What stands out most about this area are its beautiful rocky beaches. Here we will visit Punta Roquitas beach. It's very famous for its photoshoots, fishermen fishing off the rocky pier, and surfing! Here we will learn about the interaction between the people of Lima and the Pacific Ocean.

San Isidro Olive Garden - Not to be Missed

Enjoyable 3+ hours visiting Lima's main districts. The olive park at San Isidro was a tranquil haven from the 24/7 manic traffic outside.

Four Districts of Lima with a Local Market: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lima.

How much does Four Districts of Lima with a Local Market cost?

+

Prices start at $22 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lima usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Four Districts of Lima with a Local Market take?

+

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lima is not rushed.

Is Four Districts of Lima with a Local Market worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lima, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Four Districts of Lima with a Local Market?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Four Districts of Lima with a Local Market suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Four Districts of Lima with a Local Market?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lima can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lima and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Four Districts of Lima with a Local Market start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lima within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lima?

+

On Outty we rank every Lima experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Peruvian Cooking Class, Local Market Tour & Exotic Fruit Tasting, The Complete Lima Experience: History, Culture & Flavors, #1 Rated Lima Cooking Class: Make Ceviche, Causa & Pisco Sours!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lima?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lima?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
