The Tour You Didn’t Know You NEEDED!
We went on a barbecue and brew tour with Carrie for my husband’s birthday, and honestly, it ended up being one of the best afternoons we’ve had in a long time!!! From the very beginning, Carrie was openly communicative and flexible. She asked for a little flexibility with the start, which we had zero issue with, and she kept us informed about transportation changes and what to expect throughout the experience. That set the tone right away!! VERY thoughtful and considerate! Her transportation is spacious and SUPER clean and comfy! We’re California transplants and have been in Fort Worth for about six years now, but we never thought to take a tour of the city. We realized we didn’t really know it in the way locals do. This experience completely changed that. Carrie narrated every stop, every pause for random inquiries, and we learned so much history about the city that honestly made us feel more connected to being here. It even made us think about our kids… how one day they’ll say they’re from here, and now we have all these meaningful places in the community to tie into that. That part alone was really special. The food… incredible is an understatement. We stopped at Smokaholics BBQ and listen… this place was fire!! It felt like somebody’s grandmother cooked it. Very Southern barbecue with a soul food twist. It was heaven. Magnificent. Truly magical. I stopped breathing after a first bite because I didn’t want any flavor to leave my mouth! Then we went to Panther City BBQ, which is on the Michelin list, and my God… the greens. The BEST greens I’ve ever had in my life. I’m absolutely going to try to recreate that recipe somehow. And the brisket elote? Just incredible. You can tell that brisket was smoked for hours!! It was delicate, flavorful, and just done right. The Smokey flavor was in every fiber and morsel of each bite! One of the owners made a personal stop by our table and it just felt so WARM and inviting to get to know a little about the people who are making memories in this place. Beyond the food, Carrie herself made the experience what it was. She’s incredibly personable and took the time to introduce us to people she knows at each stop. By the end of it, we didn’t feel like visitors… we felt like we had actual connections in these spaces. That’s rare, and she does it effortlessly!! She was so inviting and very invested in a genuine way to sharing her HEART with us about the love of her town! The good, the bad, and the brilliant! I love that she didn’t shy away from what it was and is proud of what it is becoming!! She’s a part of that in a MAJOR way!! She also customized the experience to us, which made it feel even more intentional. That one-on-one attention made a huge difference and created a level of connection we wouldn’t have gotten otherwise. You’ll have to experience it to really FEEL what this could mean for you!! We also loved getting to meet the vendors and hear directly from people in the city… seeing behind the scenes, learning their processes, even getting insight into how they make their beer. That kind of access made everything feel real in a BEAUTIFUL way! I get to stop in again in these spaces and know some friendly faces. I’m even inspired to be more connected to my own dives and places I frequent. She even recommended a TON of other places with real insight and experience to pair with it!!! And then she closed out the experience with a special treat at the end that just topped everything off perfectly. I’ll leave that surprise for others to enjoy!! 10/10, easily. Carrie is really onto something magical here. And she’s pioneering tourism in Fort Worth in the most unexpected way. You wouldn’t think a tour of Fort Worth would end up being one of the best afternoons of your life in a new state… but this absolutely was. We’re already planning to go back to every single place we visited, and I’ve been recommending this experience to friends, family, and neighbors nonstop. This is truly a one-of-a-kind experience, and I would recommend it to anyone. Any background, ANY group. You don’t want to miss this.

+
Fort Worth tours cover the Stockyards cattle drive, rodeo tickets, cowboy history walks, horseback riding, brewery tours and combined day trips with Dallas. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fort Worth?
+
March to May and September to November. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fort Worth?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
