Fort Jesus Museum
This is a World Heritage site that reminds us of the history of Renaissance period. It tells the history of the Portuguese, the Arabs and the British era back in the 15th Century. MOMBASA OLD TOWN. In Old Town village, You will venture into the Swahili Culture and the Arab's architectural designs of the wood carvings doors and balconies that shows the influence of the Arabs back in the 16th Century. MACKINNON MARKET. The narrow streets of Old Town leading all the way to the mackinnon market;famously known for the natural spices. The market was built for slave trade by the British in 1914.11 THE CURIO SHOPS. When visiting the Old Town, you'll see so many curio or gifts shops where you can buy souvenirs. THE ELEPHANTS TASKS. You will also see the famous landmark of Mombasa that's known as the Elephants Tusks or commonly known as Pembe za Ndovu that's reminds us of the visit of Queen Elizabeth. They are located at the heart of Mombasa city along the Moi Avenue road.

Excellent tour with a fantastic guide
We had a great tour of Fort Jesus with Bishamba. She was friendly, knowledgeable and brought the history of Fort Jesus and Mombasa to life. The pace was good, we had enough breaks and felt very safe throughout. She even went out of her way to help us find a jewellery shop to replace some silver earrings, which was a lovely extra touch. A really enjoyable experience and we’d definitely recommend Bishamba. 5/5!

Fascinating tour through Mombasa old town
Bishamba was wonderful during our tour. She organised several places for us to visit, which we were absolutely fascinated by. Particularly the store and garment production site were impressive and inspiring for what women can do. Additionally, Bishamba was able to give us valuable insights about the construction of Fort Jesus and its historical activities. Thank you again for the effort you made!

We spent some very enjoyable hours in the company of Bishamba, who was a delightful tour guide- very friendly, reliable and knowledgable. Extensive and fun tour
I met Bishamba tour guide at the Fort gate on time. She assisted me completing admission form. She was very knowledgeable about the fort. The tour went at a perfect pace. We proceeded to an excellent tour of the old town. So interesting. We visited artisans at work, different markets. I really appreciated all the sights, sounds, and people. Bishamba's knowledge of the trees and fruits ...exceptional.
