    Special and enriching

Our tour guide was Melinda, and she was incredible. Thanks to her guidance we were able to skip a lot of the queues (which without a tour guide could easily take you 2+Hours) and fully enjoy this experience. She's very knowledgeable about the history of these places, even telling us side stories and taken us to some less crowded areas that felt almost secret and special. I would absolutely recommend you book this tour !

Response from the operator: We sincerely appreciate your detailed positive comment. We are pleased guide Melinda did an incredible job for you. Thank you for your sincere recommendation of our tour product to other travellers. We will pass your warm compliments to Melinda. We look forward to welcoming you again when you visit Beijing in the future.

Really enjoyed Ti’annamen Square and Forbidden City with the inspirational Helen!

Fabulous visit to Ti’annamen Square and The Forbidden City. Helen was so knowledgeable, friendly, and authentic that it made the visit very interesting and we could ask as many questions as we liked. Helen kept a good pace and kept everyone moving with her history and stories. The fast pass tickets was a real bonus at this time of year when queues to get through security were unbelievably long. We didn’t spend more that a few minutes at each checkpoint. We really enjoyed the visit and would highly recommend it to others.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your excellent review of your Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City tour. We are delighted you had a fabulous visiting experience. We highly appreciate your positive comments about our guide Helen. Thank you for your high recommendation to other travellers. We look forward to welcoming you again should you come back to Beijing.

    So impressive

What a fantastic tour. Vanessa was the most amazing guide! She was able to answer any question and knew everything. She was so friendly and took pictures for us at any stop without disturbing the tour. I was really blown away by the forbidden city but I am so glad I went with the tour guide I did because I would not have had that experience solo. Thankyou Vanessa!

Response from the operator: Many thanks for this fantastic review. We are happy you enjoyed your tour and highly rate guide Vanessa. The Forbidden City is amazing, and we are glad our guide brought you an experience you could not get travelling alone. We will pass your thanks to Vanessa. Hope to welcome you again in Beijing.

Forbidden City&T-Square Small GroupTours w/ ticket(Eng/Esp Guide): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.

How much does Forbidden City&T-Square Small GroupTours w/ ticket(Eng/Esp Guide) cost?

    +

Prices start at $16 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Forbidden City&T-Square Small GroupTours w/ ticket(Eng/Esp Guide) take?

    +

Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.

Is Forbidden City&T-Square Small GroupTours w/ ticket(Eng/Esp Guide) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 91 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 1,316 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.

Can I cancel or reschedule Forbidden City&T-Square Small GroupTours w/ ticket(Eng/Esp Guide)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Forbidden City&T-Square Small GroupTours w/ ticket(Eng/Esp Guide) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Forbidden City&T-Square Small GroupTours w/ ticket(Eng/Esp Guide)?

    +

Around 461 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Forbidden City&T-Square Small GroupTours w/ ticket(Eng/Esp Guide) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Beijing?

    +

On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Beijing?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Beijing?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
