Great guide!
So this would have been a 5 star review if we would have had the opportunity to actually tour the stadium. Now I know that's nobody's fault but our own due to the date that we scheduled our walking tour but nonetheless, I do believe some improvements could be made to the booking details and / or possible updates. For example: Yes, our guide, Peter, did communicate with me and let me know that due to a Bruce Springsteen concert happening at Anfield we would not be able to tour the grounds, but even the team shop at the stadium was closed. I think this was a bit much. Also in the booking it states that we could visit the pub where the Liverpool team was "conceived", but when we got there it was closed even though their online hours stated otherwise. All in all, we really enjoyed our guide, Peter. He gave some great history, stories, and personal takes that were honest and beautiful. I know he did his best and even covered our Uber fees and bought us a local pastry out of his own pocket. Big props and compliments to Peter but I left just slightly disappointed.
Response from the operator: We're glad to hear you enjoyed Peter’s guiding and appreciated his extra efforts to make your experience special. We’re sorry for the disappointment caused by the stadium and pub closures — we understand how that impacted your visit. We’ll certainly review how we communicate schedule disruptions and improve clarity in our booking details. Your comments are truly valued, and we hope to welcome you again under better circumstances.

Our guide, Pete, was...
Our guide, Pete, was excellent. We were on a cruise and he met us at the port. We walked to a great pub and saw a lot of sites of Liverpool along the way. We ubered from the pub to Anfield. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go inside because of the upcoming Taylor Swift concerts, but we walked around outside and went through the museum. Plan for rain, but that is just part of the experience. We had a great time despite the weather and lack of access to the inside of the stadium.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your experience with Pete. We're glad Pete was able to provide an excellent tour and make your visit enjoyable.

Satisfied
Peter the tour guide was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and a Liverpool native. He went above and beyond during this tour due to a scheduling mishap by City Planner.
Response from the operator: Hi Barbara, thanks a ton for your glowing review! We're ecstatic that Peter made your London tour so special and tailored just for you. We'll be here, ready for your next adventure!

Football Experience With A Local Host In Liverpool: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Liverpool.
How much does Football Experience With A Local Host In Liverpool cost?
+
Prices start at $93 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Liverpool usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Football Experience With A Local Host In Liverpool take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Liverpool is not rushed.
Is Football Experience With A Local Host In Liverpool worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 61 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Liverpool, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Football Experience With A Local Host In Liverpool?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Football Experience With A Local Host In Liverpool suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Football Experience With A Local Host In Liverpool?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Liverpool can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Liverpool and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Football Experience With A Local Host In Liverpool start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Liverpool within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Liverpool?
+
On Outty we rank every Liverpool experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Liverpool: "Blue Route" - City & Beatles Tour, Liverpool Ghost Walking Tour, Downtown Liverpool Walking Tour - In Spanish. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Liverpool?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Liverpool?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What happens to Football Experience With A Local Host In Liverpool if the weather is bad?
+
It generally runs rain or shine, so dress for the forecast in Liverpool. Standard cancellation terms apply: free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start.
What do travelers say about Football Experience With A Local Host In Liverpool?
+
Across 8 reviews averaging 4.4 out of 5, recurring themes include the guide, knowledge and storytelling. Travelers single out the guide as the reason the experience works.
