    What you'll see and do

    1. Manek Chowk

Start with a sizzling Butter Dosa, its crisp golden edges giving way to a soft, spiced potato filling—together with tangy chutney and coconut sambhar. Savor the quirky Chocolate Sandwich—bread and butter, toasty with molten chocolate and nuts sprinkled on top—an unexpected treat in the midst of an animated marketplace. Crumbled khaman, a hallmark of the Gujarati snack repertoire, is a spiced jig with mustard seed and topped with a generous shower of sev, pomegranate, coriander, and a squeeze of lemon. It is light and tangy and poofy for an in-between snack. Sweet or spicy not to mention, fried or otherwise, is on the agenda.

    2. Kulfi, frozen rich milk infused with saffron and pistachios for a regal treat on a stick. The kulfi here is dense, creamy, and fragrant and wonderful for quickly savoring on a the go, and for decades, claim to have the best in town. Kulfi is a heritage on a straw. Masala khakhra are roasted thin wheat crisps, infused with dry spices, served fresh off the tawa. Pair with homemade chutneys for an addictive crunch. It is also a great spot for edible souvenirs to take home—methi, jeera, and even pizza-flavoured khakhras! Like a local end your stroll with jalebi spirals. Drenched in saffron sugar syrup, these childhood mementos are a marvellous treat served with a cup of masala chai at a heritage food joint.

    Gujarati food walking tour

Fantastic experience walking through the old city and learning about the various foods and their unique origins and importance to this amazing culture. This was the second tour I've taken with Murtaza and I highly recommend him.

Contentful and great tour with many local features

Very good trip. A guide who asked me what I wanted to experience and where I wanted to eat. Come with a desire to see as much local as possible, but eat in a slightly better place. This was fulfilled. Both saw the local in a good way and ate good food. Became a lot of walking, but was to my wishes. All in all very good trip

Food Walk in Ahmedabad to Savor Gujarati Cuisine: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Ahmedabad.

How much does Food Walk in Ahmedabad to Savor Gujarati Cuisine cost?

    +

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Ahmedabad usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Food Walk in Ahmedabad to Savor Gujarati Cuisine take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Ahmedabad is not rushed.

Is Food Walk in Ahmedabad to Savor Gujarati Cuisine worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Ahmedabad, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Food Walk in Ahmedabad to Savor Gujarati Cuisine?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Food Walk in Ahmedabad to Savor Gujarati Cuisine suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Food Walk in Ahmedabad to Savor Gujarati Cuisine?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Ahmedabad can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Ahmedabad and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Food Walk in Ahmedabad to Savor Gujarati Cuisine start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Ahmedabad within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Ahmedabad?

    +

On Outty we rank every Ahmedabad experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Sunrise Taj Mahal Tour from Delhi By Car -All inclusive, Private 2-Day Tour to The Taj Mahal and Agra with Both Side Commercial Flights, World heritage Ahmedabad city tour in private car with guide and lunch. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Ahmedabad?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Ahmedabad?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
