Santa Marta food tour
Our guide Giuliano was friendly and knowledgeable about local sights, history, geography, and cuisines which was a nice surprise. It was a great variety of food stalls and cuisine (fruit, seafood, soup, gelato, etc). It was well paced and enough variety to keep things interesting. Highly recommended

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Santa Marta Food Tour! This food tour was easily one of the highlights of my time in Santa Marta! It was the perfect combination of delicious Colombian food, local culture, history, and exploring the beautiful Old City. Our guides was fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about Santa Marta and its food. We visited several local spots and had the opportunity to taste a variety of traditional foods, fresh tropical fruits, and regional specialties. I especially enjoyed learning the stories behind what we were eating instead of simply stopping somewhere for a quick bite. The tour felt relaxed and personal, and there was plenty of food throughout the experience. Walking through the Old City while learning about the culture made it feel like we were experiencing the real Santa Marta, not just the typical tourist attractions. If you’re visiting Santa Marta and love food, culture, and discovering local hidden gems, I highly recommend this tour. Come hungry, you won’t be disappointed! 🇨🇴🌴🍉 10/10 experience and absolutely worth it!

Great experience!
Carlos was great. Took us for good Colombian food. Matched stops for food with juice and coffee. We walked the right amount and gave us information about the city. Great tour!

Solo waliking streetfood tour Santa Marta June 2026
Good walking historical food tour. Fantastic fruits, juices, pastries seafood.; more delicious things than I could finish. I also loved the beverages, history, for example the gold museum as well as learning about the current situation in town. Andreas was a wonderful guide. Highly recommended!

Great tour
I had an amazing food walking tour in Santa Marta—a perfect mix of flavor, culture, and history. We started with delicious coffee from the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, sweetened with panela and a hint of cinnamon—absolutely comforting and unique. Along the way, we tasted a variety of fresh tropical fruits and a refreshing cold juice blend of passion fruit and mango that was bursting with flavor. One of the highlights was a street vendor serving seafood soup cooked over a wood fire and a rich shrimp rice—authentic and unforgettable. We also enjoyed creamy, flavorful ice cream made from local fruits, and ended with a true Colombian classic: arepa de huevo—crispy, deep-fried, and filled with egg—paired with mote de guineo (cayeye), a delicious green banana mash topped with cheese and chicharrón. Between stops, we explored the historic downtown, seeing some of the oldest buildings in Colombia and South America, which makes sense as Santa Marta is celebrating 501 years of history. Overall, a fantastic, educational tour—you’ll leave full, happy, and with a deeper appreciation for the region’s food and culture. Highly recommended!
