    Outstanding Guide and Tour

We just returned from a short 3-day trip from Portugal to the Holy Land and had the pleasure of doing two tours with Levi—one to Nazareth and Galilee, and the other to Jerusalem and Bethlehem. We couldn’t have chosen a better guide. Not only was Levi a trove of knowledge, explaining even the smallest details of the churches we visited, but he also enriched our drives with fascinating historical insights about the regions we passed through. It was truly a remarkable experience for me and my family, and we’re certainly going back to Israel in the near future.

Response from the operator: Many thanks for giving me an opportunity to mert and guide your marvellous family in these not easy day. Hope to see you again, as soon as everything is back to normal.

    More than expected

Lovely day with Levi - he’s personable and funny and an astute observer of his culture and it’s place in the world which we enjoyed absorbing in between his learned commentary in the various holy land sites we visited. Very comfortable late model vehicle and he seems to know where to find the best food wherever you are. Came away with some good Jewish jokes too and why humour is important to this people.

Response from the operator: Dear friends, it has been a great pleasure meeting and guiding you. Hope to see you again!

    Ups and Downs

We took this tour in March 2019 because we wanted to see more than the bus tours offered. First the pluses: -- Mr. Zelkind was willing to pick us up at the airport and drop us off at our hotel, a great convenience. We arranged for the time and place for pickup via email. -- We also communicated via email as to our itinerary. He responded promptly and allowed us to have changes from the sites described for the tour. -- Mr. Zelkind is knowledgeable about the Sea of Galilee sites, drives well, knows the ins-and-outs of the area's parking/traffic, etc. and is polite. On the other hand: -- Confirm the itinerary, once at the beginning and once before you leave to make sure it is correct. -- If you add or exchange sites, he will advise that additional admission fees are incurred, but no refunds are given for sites you do not see. -- Confirm whether the schedule you have constructed is feasible in the amount of time designated for the tour or whether an extra hourly charge will likely be incurred. Bring cash. -- Be aware that customs can take up to an hour and arrange for pickup accordingly. -- Mr. Zelkind can occasionally be opinionated. Overall, I would recommend him -- it was a good experience in that he communicated well, drove well, knew the area and was knowledgeable about the sites. We did get to see more than we would have had we taken a bus tour but be prepared to push a little to see all that you desire. Lastly, if this is your only trip to the Sea of Galilee and you want it to be meaningful, take a break occasionally from the commentary!

Response from the operator: Many thanks for your review. It was my pleasure guiding you. Indeed, your very long customs process was far from being usual, but this was beyond us, and we've managed to overcome that delay. To remind, you've booked the tour with a fixed program from Viator, and not directly with me. Therefore, tour conditions had been set in advance by Viator, and I've provided you a printed Itinerary copy, when we met. I also did my best to accommodate with your additional requirements. Many thanks for noting that, as well. Customer' satisfaction is our utmost goal. This is only to emphasize, that we do not charge per a site visited but for the total time of the tour. Therefore, if a site was dropped, and another added, by your request, not that but a total time was taken into an account. I'm happy that you've enjoyed the tour, and hope to have a chance to guide you again, one day, in our beautiful country. With Best regards and wishes Levi Zelkind, your guide in Israel

Following Jesus steps in Galilee Private Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tel Aviv.

How much does Following Jesus steps in Galilee Private Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $1,149 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tel Aviv usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Following Jesus steps in Galilee Private Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tel Aviv is not rushed.

Is Following Jesus steps in Galilee Private Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tel Aviv, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Following Jesus steps in Galilee Private Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Following Jesus steps in Galilee Private Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Following Jesus steps in Galilee Private Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tel Aviv can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tel Aviv and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Following Jesus steps in Galilee Private Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tel Aviv within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tel Aviv?

    +

On Outty we rank every Tel Aviv experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Carmel Market Tasting Tour - LocaLocal, Guided Pub Crawl Night Tour at Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv Street Art & Graffiti Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tel Aviv?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tel Aviv?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
