    Amazing experience

The sunset bioluminescence tour was simply incredible. Bailey and her team were incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. We saw a manatee, dolphins, lots of different birds and a beautiful sunset. Nothing though compared to experiencing the bioluminescence. It was simply stunning. This tour has been the highlight of our trip to orlando this year and definitely worth the drive out and late night.

    Do it!

Guides were great (Jay and ???). Very knowledgeable and alert. Boats comfortable (good seats w backs). Very close views of manatees (a few right next to the boat) for a long time, and an alligator cruised back and forth around the small area. Guides were very good at putting people at ease with it. Despite surrounding storms, no lightning, so we went back out to see the bioluminescence (dinoflagellates and jellies). Lots of sparkle! Loved seeing the glow around my kayak paddle. Stars actually came out. I went on my own and had a blast. Had a single kayak. Bring bug spray!

The bioluminescence may not be as strong as your thinking. Our guide was great. Very knowledgeable and professional

The highlight of our Girls’ Trip!

BK was great to work with. We had to reschedule twice and it was no problem. Fortunately for us, we ended up on a perfect night with our excellent guide, Jay. Saw lots of manatees even had a manatee rodeo experience. Learned about constellations, flagella, area history, marine/aviary wildlife. Jay patiently helped two of us having difficulty directing our kayaks. Jay made our Girls’ Trip excursion very memorable.

    Trip of a lifetime

We went on the Sunset Kayaking with Bioluminescence tour tonight with Jay & Gabe as our guides. Both were great & Jay was awesome leading us around to see different fish, plants, trees, birds, & other animals including manatees when it was light out. We heard black drum fish mating calls - and that was wild! You could feel the reverberations in the kayak - so cool! We saw a beautiful sunset too! Then went to shore for an opportunity to stretch our legs & I didn't know how much I needed that until I was out of the kayak - it was a welcome stop! We added a few more kayaks onto our group and went back out to check out the bioluminescence. I'm glad the email they sent included what to bring & wear - we read it & it was very helpful! The weather tonight was amazing & Jay taught us how to move the paddles to see the plankton dino bioluminescence and bioluminescent comb jellies - we were lucky & saw both! We got to hold a comb jelly & see them in a bowl to see them up close & their iridescence. Such a once in a lifetime experience - we were so excited! So many stars out tonight too! Jay pointed out several formations - he's knowledgeable about so much! We appreciated this longer tour & would highly recommend it! We would also do this again on a future trip & will tell our friends about it. Truly a 'can't miss' experience! Thank you BK Adventure - so glad we chose you too do this with us!

Response from the operator: We agree that Jay and Gabe are pretty great. We are so glad to hear you had a great time. We hope you will join us again soon! Thanks for the 5 star review!

Florida Sunset and Bioluminescence Package: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cocoa Beach.

How much does Florida Sunset and Bioluminescence Package cost?

    +

Prices start at $89 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cocoa Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Florida Sunset and Bioluminescence Package take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cocoa Beach is not rushed.

Is Florida Sunset and Bioluminescence Package worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 31 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Cocoa Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Florida Sunset and Bioluminescence Package?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Florida Sunset and Bioluminescence Package suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Florida Sunset and Bioluminescence Package?

    +

Around 11 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cocoa Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cocoa Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Florida Sunset and Bioluminescence Package start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cocoa Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cocoa Beach?

    +

Cocoa Beach sells surf lessons, airboat rides on the St Johns, bioluminescent kayak paddles in summer and rocket launch viewing cruises, with Kennedy Space Center a short drive north. On Outty we rank every Cocoa Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mangrove Tunnels, Dolphins, Manatee Tour #1 Rated in Cocoa Beach, Wizard of OZ Museum tour, Cocoa Beach Dolphin and Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cocoa Beach?

    +

March to May and September to November; check launch schedules before booking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cocoa Beach?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
