With A Paddle in Paradise, you’ll enjoy one of the most authentic and intimate bioluminescent kayak and paddle board tours in Florida. Unlike large outfitters that pack 25+ people into one group, we keep tours small—around 12 guests, with a 15-person max—offering a peaceful, personalized experience and better views of the glowing water. We are close to Cocoa Beach and Orlando. Each tour is locally guided by Nate, Jess or Jeff, giving you a laid-back, guest-first vibe where you're treated like a friend, not a number. Paddle under the stars through the Indian River Lagoon, one of the only places in the world where bioluminescent dinoflagellates and comb jellies light up the water.

An event you won’t regret!
Really cool! Definitely recommend. It’s almost impossible to capture a good video or picture alone, you need someone with you to capture the video or picture for you. The experience in person far exceeds the photos. Jess was great, she was fun and knowledgeable. One tip, departure areas may differ so try to get there early. You may get lost and need to ask someone where your group is. It’s not a simple address when you get there.

Glow on Indian River
A very nice experience. Easy paddling on raised boards with seats. You only get wet getting on to board and off. The bioluminescent organisms were hard to see at first but when you paddle into dark areas, it was much easier. The hard part was finding the company. There were more than a half dozen companies all departing out of the park. I would do this again. Guide was very knowledgeable. Note there were several departure times.

Amazing experience and Communication
This was an amazing experience. Both Cindy and Nate were amazing and extremely helpful. Highly recommended. The paddle boats are also unique and much more comfortable than normal kayaks which is a HUGE plus. Cindy (our guide) was very knowledgeable about the area and the spots to hit and they took pictures throughout themselves which took the load off of us and allowed us to enjoy the experience. Thank you Nate and Cindy!

A must do experience!
Wow!!! This is a MUST DO experience!!! We had a blast...the amount of bioluminescent activity we saw was off the charts. The weather was perfect, flat calm with a hint of breeze. Our guide was amazing...full of interesting information about the area and the wildlife. We had an easy paddle out and back...never rushed. Bonus: our paddle boards had the most comfortable seats ever!! Highly recommend!!!

Why this scores 79
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cocoa Beach.
How much does Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cocoa Beach usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 1.8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cocoa Beach is not rushed.
Is Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 79 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 216 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cocoa Beach, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure?
+
Around 76 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cocoa Beach can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cocoa Beach and add a light layer if any part of the 1.8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cocoa Beach within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cocoa Beach?
+
Cocoa Beach sells surf lessons, airboat rides on the St Johns, bioluminescent kayak paddles in summer and rocket launch viewing cruises, with Kennedy Space Center a short drive north. On Outty we rank every Cocoa Beach experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mangrove Tunnels, Dolphins, Manatee Tour #1 Rated in Cocoa Beach, Wizard of OZ Museum tour, Cocoa Beach Dolphin and Wildlife Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cocoa Beach?
+
March to May and September to November; check launch schedules before booking. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cocoa Beach?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure?
+
Included: Photos of your excursion are inlcuded. Not included: Gratuities not included in booking price. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Where is the meeting point for Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure?
+
If Bio levels drop we may use an alternate launch location at parish park 30 minutes north. Please make sure to check you message center for any updates on the day of your scheduled tour. Hotel pickup is not included, so plan your own transport and arrive 15 minutes early.
What languages is Florida Bioluminescent Kayak & Paddle Board Adventure offered in?
