Do not trust this provider
Cancelled our reservation with less than 24 hours’ notice, when it was no longer possible to get other timed entry tickets (other than standing in day-of line to try luck). Prevented us from seeing this historic piece when we traveled from another country. Cannot be rectified.

Very confusing instructions and not good value
I’ve used Viator for experiences/sights in a lot of cities (Europe & US) and it’s always been a 10/10 experience. However, this time in Florence it was a bit chaotic. I was bombarded with msgs from Viator and emails about how to redeem tickets, meeting points and time to meet. There was an address to redeem tickets, an address to meet and another address I presume was the actual Gallery. It was very confusing. You weren’t sure which was which due to the wording of the messages. We also got an email advising us that our 11am booking was changing to 11:15am and to meet at a different time to that originally advised. It turned out this was incorrect information sent to us. 11am time still stood! We found this out later. I did try to contact someone on Viator to verify but no one replied. In other cities this always worked - if I had a question I always received a reply. We eventually figured out where to meet and went for the original time just in case. There was supposed to be someone there with a flag but there wasn’t. There didn’t seem to be anyone to ask from Viator. There were lots of people in the area to meet other groups and it was very busy. I just happened to have the Viator app open to check for phone nr again and a guy passing asked if we were here for a tour. It was just pure luck. He brought us to another guy who had a group already in the line. It honestly was pure fluke that we ended up getting to that point as the guide most definitely wasn’t there. We were supposed to enter the gallery/museum a 11 and we were in line until about 11:35. All in all this was probably the least organised and least efficient experience I’ve booked on Viator. I don’t really think it was value for money for the service you received.

Wonderful!
Great art! The exhibit on making of plaster models for marble statues was amazing, as was the musical instruments but of course the David was the central focus and well deserved. The agent was a bit rude but the masses of people has to be overwhelming.

The museum and exhibits...
The museum and exhibits were amazing to see. It was just a bit confusing to follow the sequence of rooms. They seemed numbered out of order for the flow of travel throughout the museum. Otherwise, I highly recommend a visit.

Not good
This was the worst part of our whole trip. The goal was to get tickets to enter without a guide. The email said to show up 15 minutes early to get your ticket. My friend was not feeling well so I left her to get the tickets so she could rest a bit more. When I got there the rudest guy said I had to enter with group and refused to give me the tickets. He finally said he would take the group in and come back and give me the tickets. I went back and fortunately my friend arrived and the group had not gone in yet. We ended up standing in line for nearly 45 minutes waiting on permission for the group to go in. It was definitely not great and the person was completely rude. They would do better to not say in the email to come 15 minutes early to “get your tickets”. Rather state you need to be ready to go in with the group 15 Minutes before entry time. I would not use this operator again.
