Unlike all other bridges that were destroyed during World War II, it is said that Hitler gave his direct order to not destroy Ponte Vecchio during the German occupation of the town.

    Essential tour for meaningful experience

This tour was so essential for our time in Florence. We are experienced museum goers but we benefitted greatly from our guide Cristina who helped us to understand the significance of the artworks as well as the connections between the artists and time periods. With the level of crowds it was so helpful to have Cristina to navigate through the museums. We highly recommend this tour.
