Learn to make fresh pasta, like our grandmothers made them in Italy. We will teach you every process and stand by you teaching you every step. Offered in a cooking school located inside a medieval tower from the 1200s, a stone's throw from Brunelleschi's Dome. Where you will breathe the air and life of Dante Alighieri, father of the Italian language because the tower where we will cook belonged to his wife's family.

Would not recommend
First of all, Chef Sal was 10/10. He was absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend him. None of this applies to him. My score for the review is on the process itself. We were running very late due to transportation issues and I couldn't contact anyone at the experience - I tried calling and texting from both my phone and Whatsapp with no answer. I had to go through Viator and they were able to ensure we would be able to participate. When we arrived, 30 min after the start time, everyone was still checking in! There was a line out the door. I thought this was a small experience but it was literally 100+ people in several rooms. Speaking of, our room was SO INCREDIBLY HOT. I get it, we're cooking and moving around a lot, I expected to be hot. I did not expect to be drenched in sweat because each little room was completely closed off with 20 people and sauces sizzling on hot plates. It was extremely uncomfortable. There was no place to put our stuff which was annoying because I kept stepping on everyone else's bags under the table. We also did not realize we wouldn't be eating our own food, nor did we realize we wouldn't be making the sauces. I had previously done a cooking class where all of that was included, but this experience felt like a subpar money grab. We were given a QR code to scan for recipes that just went to a review site so we don't even have the recipes. I expected this to be similar to my last cooking class in Florence - small group, cook everything yourself, share with only those you cooked with, and recipes for everything. This class was extremely lacking on all fronts and I regret wasting the money. It was our last favorite thing we did on our trip and we both wished we had spent the money at a good restaurant instead.

Fun and educational!
The location was gorgeous! Chef David made the experience even better than it was. I highly recommend as it was one of the highlights of our trip. So fun and we learned so much!

A great experience!
We had so much fun! The pasta making was clearly demonstrated and discussed. You could ask questions at any time. We each had our own work station. The chef came around to check on each person's progress. We had a great group of people at our table and we had a lot of fun playing music and singing along. The wine in self serve so you could refill your glass whenever you wanted. One person in our group got to be the sous chef. We made tortellini, ravioli, and pappardelle pasta. The chef prepared a ragu, brown butter sage and cherry tomato sauce. We boiled the class pasta as a whole and then each received a plate with the pasta and sauce. It was all delicious! I can't wait to make my own pasta back at home!

Pasta Cooking Class
We had a fantastic time with Lorenzo! He is a wonderful chef and teacher. The pasta and sauces were delicious. However, you combine and share the pasta with everyone in your group (20-30 people - so you may get not as tasty pasta for those who have less experience cooking, if you know what I mean). Thank you again to Lorenzo for a great time!
