This tour is perfect for travelers that want to get a local experience! Meet up with your local, bilingual expert, and find out what it is like to be a part of the community in Florence! At our first stop, we will get fueled up with a bit of Italian coffee. See our coffee culture first hand and learn why it is such an important part of our daily routine. Next, we will head over to the bustling local market to check out the seasonal produce, meet local butchers and fishermen, and of course, have another delicious tasting. Continuing on, we will take a stroll through the city center, stopping at a few different family-owned shops to taste some traditional favorites including, Florentine street food, Tuscan sweets, Olive Oil, Meats, Cheeses, Truffle, Aged Balsamic, wine, and much more! Finish off the tour with delicious local favorite, a rich, creamy, gelato! This walking tour will include 5-6 stops and 10 tastings!

What you'll see and do
Chiesa di Sant'Ambrogio
We will start off in the very local neighborhood of Sant' Ambrogio. Here we will visit a few different small shops to taste local favorites. Our tastings along the tour include everything from cantucci, coccoli, pizette, meats, cheeses, olive oil, truffle, and much more!

After a few tastings in the Sant' Ambrogio area, we will then take a nice stroll through the city center twisting and turning on the local streets to enter into another local neighborhood.

Fabulous Food Tour
I just went to find Christy's tour information for a friend and realized that I never wrote a review. I've been on a bunch of food tours over the years and this was one of my favorites. Even in a city crowded with tourists like Florence, you get a sense of how the locals live and eat. Christy is lovely and the food was great. Overall it was a fabulous experience.

Ask for Danilo! And don’t have breakfast.
Danilo was an amazing tour guide. He tailored the tour to our interests and provided a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for our first day in Florence! He was so knowledgeable about the city and provided so many recommendations to visit for the remainder of our trip. (The food was exceptional, no need to eat breakfast!) Thank you, Danilo!

Brilliant tour. Would recommend.
Our guide was Danilo who did a fantastic job of showing us some of the less touristy sides of Florence. He had a great relationship with the venues he took us to and it felt like a really special event. Danilo himself spoke excellent English, was knowledgeable (although it wasn’t a historical tour) and was super friendly. We learned lots and it definitely enriched our trip. We would definitely recommend him to friends. The tour wasn’t too long, in terms of distance. We made a slight mistake in walking to the start of the tour from our hotel, about an hour’s walk away, so we’re relieved not to be walking 20,000 steps across Florence.

Super fun, great food,...
Super fun, great food, wine and company. Our tour guide Tatiana was genuine, warm and kind. I’d recommend this tour to everyone - just super nice to walk around Florence and enjoy some fun conversation and local food/coffee/wine.

A great way to spend a few hours in Florence
Christy was great, we really enjoyed the food tour. We booked for two and we were on our honeymoon. It was such a nice experience, food was amazing, coffee and wine too. Cristy shared lots of insightful information on Florence and took us to some places we certainly wouldn’t have found without her. Thank you for a wonderful tour. Highly recommend
