Start your Tuscan Food Venture in the right way, following ancient Renaissance tradition we start the night with some liquid courage and a quick snack at Florence’s famous ‘’wine window’, known as Buchetta del vino. Originally created to avoid taxes on taverns by selling directly to the public, this ancient hack was frequented by masters like Michelangelo himself!
20 minutes here
Next, we’ll head to Via dei Neri, a Florentine street known specifically for its food. The street is lined with dozens of panino shops, all with freshly cured meats and delicious cheeses. During lunchtime, this street is filled with hungry travelers and Florentines waiting for a good meal. We’ll stop at a local shop for aperitivo, meaning a quick bite before dinner time. Taste local samples of meats and cheeses, wash it all down with some delicious vino while learning from our guide why meats and cheeses tend to be more ‘’spezziato’’ in Florence than in the rest of Italy. You'll also have the chance to dig your teeth into tomato bruschetta, classic thick tomato soup known as pappa al pomodoro, and two different paccheri pasta dishes one with yellow tomato sauce and the other with classic tomato sauce. Then indulge in a tasting selection of Orange mustard, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil.
60 minutes here
Ponte Vecchio
We’ll continue toward the Arno River and see Florence’s most famous and colorful bridge. Ponte Vecchio - centuries ago used to be the hot spot for fishmongers, butchers and the like to barter and sell their goods. Now, you’ll find the bridge lined mainly with jewelers. Cross over the bridge to access to Oltrarno area, a neighborhood that comes to life at night and is mostly populated with locals rather than tourists.

And now, the main event! Settle in for a hearty dinner that will crown your Florence food tour experience. In a cozy trattoria, savor a mouthwatering Florentine steak—juicy, tender, and perfectly thick-cut. Served rare to preserve its rich flavor, it’s an authentic taste of Tuscany you won’t want to miss! Of course, it's perfectly paired with golden roasted potatoes and a glass of delicious local wine to complete the feast.

Florence evening food tour s lovely
Shirin was fabulous. The food tour itself was worth every penny. The wine window was a fun, uniquely Florence experience, and then the next stop was a lovely little place where we enjoyed charcuterie boards and some nice Italian wines, and then on to the main course, Florentne steak dinner, with more lovely Italian wines and great conversations with the other tour guests. Shirin was a gracious hostess and she added informational that really made the whole experience exceptional.

Amazing tour, even better tour guide
What an incredible way to experience Florence! Viktoria was absolutely fantastic — warm, engaging, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the food, wine, history, and culture of this beautiful city. We sampled wonderful local wines, enjoyed an amazing Florentine steak, and experienced some of the authentic flavours and traditions that make Florence so special. Viktoria made the entire tour feel relaxed and personal rather than simply taking us from one stop to another. Her stories and insights really brought Florence to life. The food and wine were excellent, but Viktoria truly made the experience memorable. We laughed, learned, ate very well, and came away feeling like we had experienced a side of Florence we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. If you’re visiting Florence and want a tour that combines great food, wine, culture, and wonderful company, ask for Viktoria! We would happily do another tour with her. Highly, highly recommended!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An amazing evening of food, wine & laughter!
What an amazing night! We had such a fantastic evening with some lovely people, plenty of laughs and a great bit of banter throughout. 🍷😂 We met Marco at our meeting point and from the very start he made everyone feel incredibly welcome. He was so knowledgeable about Florence and shared lots of interesting stories and information along the way, making the evening feel like much more than just a food and wine tour. Our first stop was the famous small wine window, which was such a fun experience and the perfect way to start the evening. A lovely glass of wine before heading off to our next stop. 🍷 We then took a short walk to a restaurant where we enjoyed a selection of breads, cheeses and other delicious foods, followed by fresh pasta with two different sauces. Of course, there was more wine, both red and white! 🍝🍷 Another short walk followed, with Marco pointing out various sights around Florence and sharing some fantastic stories along the way. There were plenty of opportunities to stop for photos too, which was lovely. We eventually arrived at our second restaurant, and this was without a doubt the highlight of the evening. We were treated to Florentine steak and potatoes, and honestly, the steak was cooked to perfection. And those potatoes… absolutely divine! 🤤🥩 This was accompanied by unlimited wine and water, so we were certainly well fed and watered! Our final stop was a gelateria, where we had a choice of some incredible ice creams and sorbets. Amazing is honestly all I can say! We loved it so much that we went back a few more times during our stay. 🍦❤️ Overall, it was a fantastic evening. I think what made it so special was the combination of a brilliant group and an excellent guide in Marco. He created such a relaxed, fun atmosphere and gave us a great insight into Florence, its food, wine and culture. I’d definitely recommend doing this tour early in your holiday, it’s a brilliant way to see some of Florence, discover places you might otherwise miss and get a feel for what the city has to offer. A fantastic night from start to finish. Highly recommended! 🇮🇹🍷❤️

Why this scores 87

Florence Evening Food Tour with Florentine Steak & Tuscan Wine: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.
How much does Florence Evening Food Tour with Florentine Steak & Tuscan Wine cost?
+
Prices start at $38 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Florence Evening Food Tour with Florentine Steak & Tuscan Wine take?
+
Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.
Is Florence Evening Food Tour with Florentine Steak & Tuscan Wine worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 87 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 644 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Florence Evening Food Tour with Florentine Steak & Tuscan Wine?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Florence Evening Food Tour with Florentine Steak & Tuscan Wine suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Florence Evening Food Tour with Florentine Steak & Tuscan Wine?
+
Around 225 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Florence Evening Food Tour with Florentine Steak & Tuscan Wine start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Florence?
+
On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici Tales - guided by a STORYTELLER, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class & Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Florence?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Florence?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
