    Don’t book via Tripadvisor

I had problems downloading the tickets whicha re pnly accepted in PDF. Why do you send another tocket first which has no value. Since there is almost no connection at Palazzo Pitti and they check tickets at each entranve, I had trouble opening the pdf. And I never managed to download the audio guide. So I paid way too much for what I got.

    Dissapointing

Was really looking forward to walking the grounds, however the audio that we purchased for 30 eu extra did show a numeric map but the actual paths were hard to navigate. The signage on the gardens had no reference to the audio, ie #s of the exhibits, hence it was frustrating. The fact that some places in the gardens were covered or closed was also dissapointing. I give it a 2 or 3.

    Very upset

We payed for the gardens as well and were not told that we should go into gardens before the pitta tour. So we completely missed the gardens. I’m beyond upset as we were so looking forward to the gardens. This is the 2nd trip I booked through your company that has been miss leading and we missed the experiences promised to be included

Difficulty Obtaining Tickets/Over charging/ Cancelling Tours

Obtaining the tickets was difficult at the site. I had to go to the ticket office and they were able to find the tickets.....but it took a lot more time than it should have. We explored the gardens....but did not visit the palace. Plus, when I went to the ticket office they told me I could have gotten tickets for a quarter of the price. I am not happy about being taken advantage of. A couple years ago we booked a visit to Segovia and it was cancelled the day before....we made the trip, but arranged it with the concierge at the hotel. I thought I would give them a chance to redeem yourself but was once again disappointed. The service was once again not useful.....I will not use Viator again.

    Pitti palace

The audio experience was not so good. There was no audio for the Pitti Palace. The fact you don't get the actual tickets until the day before creates a bit of a problem for someone who isn't the most tech savvy(Me). Anyway after a few harrowing minutes the ticket taker was very helpful in backtracking our admission and let us in.

Florence: Boboli Gardens & Pitti Palace self guided tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Florence.

How much does Florence: Boboli Gardens & Pitti Palace self guided tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $48 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Florence usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Florence: Boboli Gardens & Pitti Palace self guided tour take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Florence is not rushed.

Is Florence: Boboli Gardens & Pitti Palace self guided tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 37 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (2.3/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable family friendly in Florence, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Florence: Boboli Gardens & Pitti Palace self guided tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Florence: Boboli Gardens & Pitti Palace self guided tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Florence: Boboli Gardens & Pitti Palace self guided tour?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Florence can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Florence and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Florence: Boboli Gardens & Pitti Palace self guided tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Florence within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Florence?

    +

On Outty we rank every Florence experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Best tour in Florence: Renaissance & Medici -by a storyteller, Small group Tuscan Wineries, Olive Oil & Gourmet Lunch or Dinner, Florence Pizza or Pasta Class with Gelato Making at a Tuscan Farm. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Florence?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Florence?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
