    We had a lovely time

We wanted to combine the floating market with the Erawan waterfalls in one day away from Bangkok, that’s why we took this tour. It’s a lot of driving since the markets and Erawan are not close together. But we knew that. First of all, we were lucky that we were the only two guest for the tour yesterday. We were picked up at our hotel on time in a very comfy car. Our guide Jim was very nice and attentive, our driver kind and a good driver. First we took the train to the train market, browsed a bit and watched the train leave 30 minutes later. Jim made sure to get us good spots every time. Then we drove to the floating market, took a boat and explored the market on boat and land. We had lunch there as well. Both markets are a tourist thing – you probably know that already since you’re reading a Viator review. It’s full and overwhelming. It also makes for nice photos. Then (after a quick stop at a coconut farm) we drove the three hours to the Erawan National Park and, wow, that’s a beautiful place. We even saw monkeys in the trees. We only made it to the fourth fall and cut our visit short after that, but that was our own decision. Unfortunately, my mom slipped on the rocks and twisted her knee in the process. That’s why we decided to skip the last stop (the bridge) and head straight back to Bangkok. Jim and our driver tool good care of us and were worried a lot. So, all in all, if you want to see the two big markets and an amazing National Park combined in one tour, do it. It is quite an expensive tour, but five-star-tours combining these destinations are rare. Also, Jim paid for our lunch and bought some snacks for us throughout the day. We were provided with enough water as well.

Response from the operator: Dear Ms. Annika, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review of your experience! We’re delighted to hear that you and your mom chose our tour. Exploring the floating markets and Erawan National Park in one adventurous day must have been quite the experience. We’re glad you found the car comfortable and appreciated the punctuality of the pickup. It’s wonderful to hear that Guide Jim’s effort to secure great spots and provide thoughtful touches like snacks and lunch enhanced your experience. The floating market and train market can indeed feel busy and overwhelming, but it’s heartening to know you enjoyed capturing those vibrant moments and unique photos. We’re also so pleased you found Erawan National Park as stunning as we do—seeing monkeys in the trees must have been such a treat! We’re truly sorry to hear about your mom’s injury at the waterfalls. We’re relieved that Guide Jim and the driver were there to assist and ensure your comfort. We hope your mom’s knee is healing well now. Thank you for recognizing the uniqueness of this tour and for your kind words about its value. Combining these destinations in one day is indeed ambitious, but we’re glad you felt it was worth it. We would love to welcome you both back for another journey in the future, perhaps with a more relaxed itinerary to suit your preferences. Wishing your mom a speedy recovery! Best regards, Thailand Insight Travel, guide Jim, and driver

    Fantastic day out.

This was a really good trip if you want to see lots of things outside Bangkok in a short period of time. Our guide Adam and driver Lock were knowledgeable and fun. Nothing was too hard for them. The trip was long - around 13 hours - but it was expected. The Erawan Falls were .magnificent. We went to the 4th level but time prevented us from going further. All in all we had a great day and would recommend this trip. And with any luck you will get Adam and Lock to make the day complete.

Response from the operator: Dear Mr. Tony, Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed exploring so much outside Bangkok and appreciated Adam's and Lock's knowledgeable and fun guidance. It’s great to know Erawan Falls left a lasting impression. We look forward to welcoming you again. Best regards, Thailand Insight Travel and guide Adam

Floating and Railway Markets and Erawan Waterfall (Group Tour): questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bangkok.

How much does Floating and Railway Markets and Erawan Waterfall (Group Tour) cost?

    +

Prices start at $3755 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bangkok usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Floating and Railway Markets and Erawan Waterfall (Group Tour) take?

    +

Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bangkok is not rushed.

Is Floating and Railway Markets and Erawan Waterfall (Group Tour) worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bangkok, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Floating and Railway Markets and Erawan Waterfall (Group Tour)?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Floating and Railway Markets and Erawan Waterfall (Group Tour) suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Floating and Railway Markets and Erawan Waterfall (Group Tour)?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bangkok can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bangkok and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Floating and Railway Markets and Erawan Waterfall (Group Tour) start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bangkok within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bangkok?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bangkok experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Bangkok Backstreets Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Old Siam Bangkok Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Tingly Thai Cooking Class with Morning Market Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bangkok?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bangkok?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
