Amazing trip to South Korea

My husband and I just returned from an amazing two-week trip around South Korea, and having Andrew Chung Hanbyul as our guide and driver made all the difference. We traveled through Seoul, Busan, and many smaller towns and villages that we never would have found on our own. Andrew's knowledge of Korean history, culture, traditions, and everyday life added so much to the trip. He always had interesting stories to share and was happy to answer all of our questions. What we appreciated most was how much he genuinely cared about making sure we had the best experience possible. He was flexible, patient, and always looking for ways to tailor the trip to our interests. It never felt like he was just following an itinerary—he wanted us to experience the real Korea. Andrew also introduced us to some fantastic local restaurants, coffee shops, and dessert cafés that became some of our favorite memories from the trip. Those little recommendations made a big difference and gave us experiences we probably would have missed otherwise. Everything was well organized, which meant we could simply relax and enjoy each day. Whether we were exploring busy cities, visiting historic sites, or driving through the countryside, Andrew made the entire trip easy, enjoyable, and stress-free. We can't recommend Andrew highly enough. He was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to travel with. Thanks to him, this was one of the best vacations we've ever had, and if we return to South Korea, we wouldn't hesitate to book another tour with him.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your truly heartfelt and touching review! It was an absolute pleasure showing you and your husband around South Korea, from the energetic cities to the quiet, scenic countryside. Your curiosity, warm smiles, and enthusiasm made every single day enjoyable for me as well—it really felt like I was traveling with great friends! Thank you again for your trust and kind words. Whenever you decide to visit Korea again, you know you always have a friend waiting here! Wishing you both all the best and safe travels wherever you go next.

Great Tour of Seoul with Andrew Chung

We had a wonderful tour with our guide Andrew. He took us to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Hanok Village, a wonderfull hillside cafe, and DDP Plaza. He also recommended a great mandoo restaurant for lunch. His English was excellent, and we enjoyed our conversation with him. Transportation in his air-conditioned vehicle was great. On top of that he took really great family photos as he said he has prior professional photographer experience. My family I would definitely book with Andrew in the future!

Response from the operator: Thank you for leaving a wonderful review for me!! It was such a great time to be with you on that day!! I wish you all the best, and see you again some day!! :-)

Andrew Chung the best tour guide ever!

If you’re traveling to Korea, I can’t recommend our guide Andrew Chung enough. We explored Seoul with four kids, and he was beyond accommodating, patient, and genuinely kind. He gave us an incredible tour and showed us authentic spots we never would’ve found on our own. Some of our favorite moments were walking the streets, soaking in the real vibe of the city together as a family. When it was time to leave, we were honestly sad to move on with our trip. He connected so naturally with our kids even our 1-year-old was saying “Andrew” by the end (one of his first words!). That says everything. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares and will elevate your experience, Andrew is the one. Highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for leaving a wonderful review for Andrew!! I am glad you had a wonderful time with him!! It was so incredible to hear that your adorable baby called his name!!

Flexible Private Van Tour in Seoul by Experts: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Seoul.

How much does Flexible Private Van Tour in Seoul by Experts cost?

+

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Seoul usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Flexible Private Van Tour in Seoul by Experts take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Seoul is not rushed.

Is Flexible Private Van Tour in Seoul by Experts worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 38 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Seoul, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Flexible Private Van Tour in Seoul by Experts?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Flexible Private Van Tour in Seoul by Experts suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Flexible Private Van Tour in Seoul by Experts?

+

Around 13 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Seoul can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Seoul and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Flexible Private Van Tour in Seoul by Experts start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Seoul within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Seoul?

+

On Outty we rank every Seoul experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include DMZ Tour: Defector Q&A, Tunnel & Suspension Bridge /Hotel pick up, Best DMZ Tour Seoul: Defector Q&A, 3rd Tunnel & Suspension Bridge, 2026 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best: DMZ Tour from Seoul. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Seoul?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Seoul?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
