Right blend of great food, history and culture

Our trip was mid-afternoon on a Saturday but due to savvy navigation by our super tour guide Serene, it was still comfortable as we used sheltered walkways and underpasses. She really knows her Singaporean history and culture and gave us the secret history of many historic temples and museums, as well as the best eats. She clearly loves Singapore. We had one of the best roast pork we've ever eaten, and we are foodies! We were pleasantly surprised by how smooth the local coffee was, due to the blend of Robusta, Arabica and Liberica beans -- props to the team for being true foodies too. We finished the coffee so quickly we didn't take any photos of it. The URA Centre next to the Maxwell Hawker Centre is also a highlight too -- beautiful place to get an intro to Singapore urban planning, with an impressive model of Singapore, and an explainer/show of the different districts of Singapore. Kudos to the team for a great tour!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this fantastic and detailed review! We’re delighted to hear that Serene’s savvy navigation made your mid afternoon tour comfortable as we put in much time and effort to ensure the route is comfortable for our guests. We’re especially glad the places of visit, gave you richer insights into how Singapore’s food culture is shaped by by the communities, and living traditions. These stops are intentionally chosen to show that food in Singapore isn’t just about eating; it’s about the history, and people that make each dish meaningful. Your appreciation of the food selection means a lot to us too. Choosing the right stops is crucial, even for something as everyday as Singapore coffee, where roasting methods differ significantly, and the blend of Robusta, Arabica, and Liberica beans creates distinct flavours that surprise even seasoned foodies. And yes, that roast pork is a crowd favourite for good reason, mind blowing, we always say. Thank you again for your kind words and for joining us. We’re thrilled you enjoyed the journey, and we hope to welcome you back for more stories, flavours, and discoveries soon.

We had a fantastic half day with Serene, visiting restaurants and hawker centres, while seeing the sights of Chinatown. We learned a lot about Singapore’s food culture and history. Serene happily managed our wide variety of questions. Highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear that you had a fantastic time, exploring Chinatown with Serene, and that the blend of food, history, and heritage made the experience meaningful for you. We’re especially glad the combination of hawker centres and other F&B outlets stood out. The mix is intentional, as it offers a truly holistic representation of Chinatown’s food culture. From everyday hawker classics to long standing eateries, each stop reflects a different layer of the neighbourhood’s culinary story. Serene will be thrilled to know her stories, insights, and ability to address all your questions added to your enjoyment of the day. Flavors of Singapore Food Tour at Chinatown: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Singapore.

How much does Flavors of Singapore Food Tour at Chinatown cost?

    +

Prices start at $64 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Singapore usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Flavors of Singapore Food Tour at Chinatown take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Singapore is not rushed.

Is Flavors of Singapore Food Tour at Chinatown worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 129 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Singapore, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Flavors of Singapore Food Tour at Chinatown?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Flavors of Singapore Food Tour at Chinatown suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Flavors of Singapore Food Tour at Chinatown?

    +

Around 45 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Singapore can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Singapore and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Flavors of Singapore Food Tour at Chinatown start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Singapore within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Singapore?

    +

On Outty we rank every Singapore experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Singapore Highlights Small Group Bike Tour on Full-Sized Bicycles, Lion City Bike Tour of Singapore, Singapore River Cruise, Night Garden Rhapsody & Spectra by CYT. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Singapore?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Singapore?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
