    Karen is an Amazing Guide

Karen was a wonderful tour guide! She not only took us to great food places, but she also provided us with historical references throughout our time together.

    Recommend this Tour

The guide, Karen, is what made the tour exceptional. She was fun, knowledgeable, patient. More than enough portion size. If I had to do over again, I would look for an 11am tour, not a 1:30.

Response from the operator: Very helpful feedback! We're actually reassessing our tour times this winter and will plan to roll out an earlier Flavors time. Thank you again, and we're so glad to hear how much you enjoyed our food tour :)

    A Fun Philly Food Tour

We booked this food tour as a family outing, and we had a great time! Stacy was wonderful — very nice, welcoming, and accommodating. She made sure everyone was having a good time and kept the tour interactive and engaging. You can genuinely tell that she enjoys what she does, and her enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. She also shared some interesting historical tidbits about the foods and Philadelphia along the way. As someone who is from Philly, my only issue was that I was hoping to visit more places I had never been before. I had already been to most of the locations on the tour, so there wasn’t as much of a discovery element for me personally. That said, I think this tour would be fantastic for someone who isn’t from Philly and wants to experience some of the city’s iconic foods, like cheesesteaks, Philly pretzels, and tomato pie. The tomato pie was actually something I had never tried before, so that was a fun surprise! We also really enjoyed trying different foods inside Reading Terminal Market and learning a little more about the history behind some of Philly’s classic foods. It was a fun experience, especially as a family, and Stacy did a great job making sure everyone felt included. Overall, I’d give the experience 4 stars. The tour was fun, the food was enjoyable, and Stacy was an excellent guide. For visitors looking to get a taste of Philly and experience some of the city’s food staples, I would definitely recommend it!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for joining us and for your thoughtful review! We're thrilled you all had a great time, and we'll be sure to pass your kind words along to Stacy. We appreciate your feedback. Our Flavors of Philly tour is perfectly meant to showcase Philly's classic staples, so we would hope that longtime Philadelphians WOULD recognize most of the stops. But we do offer food tours of other neighborhoods like Fishtown, Chinatown, and East Passyunk if you're hungry for something new. Thanks again for spending the afternoon with us and for recommending the tour to visitors. We hope to see you and your family again soon!

Flavors of Philly Food Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Philadelphia.

How much does Flavors of Philly Food Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Philadelphia usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Flavors of Philly Food Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Philadelphia is not rushed.

Is Flavors of Philly Food Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 558 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Philadelphia, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Flavors of Philly Food Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Flavors of Philly Food Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Flavors of Philly Food Tour?

    +

Around 195 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Philadelphia can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Philadelphia and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Flavors of Philly Food Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Philadelphia within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Philadelphia?

    +

Philadelphia's core is walkable: Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell need timed entry, the mural arts programme runs the largest public art collection in the country, and the Reading Terminal and Italian Market food walks fill the middle of the day. Outty Ranking favours operators who secure Independence Hall tickets rather than sending you to the visitor centre queue. On Outty we rank every Philadelphia experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Revolution and the Founders: History Tour of Philadelphia, Dark Philly Adult Night Tour, Philadelphia Old City Historic Walking Tour with 10+ Top Sites. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Philadelphia?

    +

April to June and September to October, mild weather and open patios. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Philadelphia?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.

    +
