Extraordinary experience of two days knowing thoroughly the Great Wall
Thanks to this tour we have known several very different sections of the Great Wall, some in the wild like Gubeikou, others partially renovated like Jiankou and also Mutianyu section completely renovated. We have also been able to camp in an original tower of the Ming Dynasty! Our guide Oliver has been very friendly and patient and has given us several very interesting and enjoyable explanations. It has been an extraordinary experience as we have been able to visit several spectacular areas of the wall that are closed to the public. The tour organization has been great and the meals, dinner and breakfast delicious! Finally, the transfers were very comfortable and the driver was very friendly.
Response from the operator: ¡Muchísimas gracias por compartir su maravillosa experiencia!

Experience of a lifetime!
We just completed a two day trek on the Great Wall with our English-speaking guide, Louis. He was so knowledgeable and caring - we had 5 children with us, aged 8 - 12. He let them run ahead when it was safe, and held the line when it wasn't. He guided us through nearly 20k of walking, an overnight stay, and three delightful meals. The experience was once in a lifetime for our family and friends, and we are so grateful for his expertise and patience.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful review! We’re truly delighted to hear that your family and friends had an unforgettable two-day Great Wall adventure with our guide Louis. He’ll be thrilled to know his care, patience, and passion for the Wall made your journey so memorable — especially for the children! Our goal has always been to provide authentic, safe, and enriching Great Wall camping and hiking experiences for families from around the world. Knowing that you found it to be an “experience of a lifetime” is the highest reward we could ask for. We sincerely appreciate you choosing the Great Wall Adventure Club, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another exploration — perhaps along one of our wild or hidden Wall routes next time! Warm regards, The Great Wall Adventure Club Team “Sleep on the Wall, Walk Through History.”

Coolest Experience Ever
We had to book our trip with them last minute and they were awesome! We had a group of 20 young adults and everyone had an amazing time. The hike area was so beautiful and we got to hike for about 3 hours. They picked us up from your hotel, drove us to the wall, did the hike, provided dinner and breakfast, provided camping gear (which we didn’t have the pack with us- we camped near a village, so we pick up our gear there and carried it the 100 meters to the wall), camped on the wall, watched the sunrise and then they drove us back. They gave us a great student discount and our guide spoke English and was funny - Aaron is the best :) Seriously we could not be more pleased with how this experience turned out!
Response from the operator: Dear Becca, Thank you very much for your review! We were honored to serve your group and made you satisfied. We look forward to seeing your friends join our Club in the future. Have a wonderful holiday season on the way!

Why this scores 66
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Flat-rate Affordable Great Wall Private Camping after Great Wall Group Hiking: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Beijing.
How much does Flat-rate Affordable Great Wall Private Camping after Great Wall Group Hiking cost?
+
Prices start at $249 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Beijing usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Flat-rate Affordable Great Wall Private Camping after Great Wall Group Hiking take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Beijing is not rushed.
Is Flat-rate Affordable Great Wall Private Camping after Great Wall Group Hiking worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Beijing, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Flat-rate Affordable Great Wall Private Camping after Great Wall Group Hiking?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Flat-rate Affordable Great Wall Private Camping after Great Wall Group Hiking suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 48-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Flat-rate Affordable Great Wall Private Camping after Great Wall Group Hiking?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Beijing can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Beijing and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Flat-rate Affordable Great Wall Private Camping after Great Wall Group Hiking start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Beijing within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Beijing?
+
On Outty we rank every Beijing experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Mubus: Mutianyu Great Wall Bus Tour with Summer Palace Options, Beijing: Top 6 Highlights All Inclusive 2-Day Private Tour, Private Mutianyu Great Wall Trip With English-Speaking Driver. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Beijing?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Beijing?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
